The following effects are all self working and very easy to do. Good enough to be presented by a professional but easy enough for a beginner to learn and perform.
Booktest for a Dummy- Impromptu, easy and deceptive, no forces and it can be a borrowed book. Boob Eyes- Comedy direct mind reading routine where you can reveal anything. Inspired by Max Maven(Desire) Larry Becker(Sneak Thief) and Patrik Kuffs This is quirky, very deceptive and happens while the entire audience is watching. The Key To Friendship- A key bend for wimps. In other words this method is designed for those that don't want to palm anything and might a little scared of doing sleight of hand in front of an audience. Dunn's Deal- Not to be confused with DUNN DEAL, similar but different and can be done with a borrowed deck. White Light, White Heat, White Card- Mental magic with cards, you learn a thought of number, you predict a thought of card and end with a nice visual climax. Under The Table- Ridiculously easy way to know a thought of card. This fools people, it has test conditions and it is perfect for performing at the dinner table. Confronting Your Fears- This peek is so good, I have used this a lot especially when challenged. Instant Knockout- A sneak peek at the marketed effect by Matt Mello and myself. I take Matt's idea and make it practical for impromptu performances. Memory Routine- I teach a memory routine for stage, but I would say this has a different appearance than most memory demonstrations. Closing Effect- Two part mind reading effect. First a design duplication and then you reveal a thought of person. You learn an easy to make extremely useful gimmick that allows for a lot of strong mentalism reveals. Any one watched this yet ? |

Just a heads up, the effects are either self working or dangerously close to it. In the lecture I mention that I removed a few effects that use sleights like a DL because I thought that might not fall in the ridiculously easy to do category.

Shaun,
Does your 'Confronting your fears' peek use a stack of cards ala Bold Business?

It uses a stack of cards but the mechanics are not like Bold Business.

Thanks for the response. I asked because I have several stack of card p**ks that I am very comfortable with. I still might pick up the lecture though.

Shaun is very knowledgeable, this will be great!
Shaun, are you going to teach the Larry Jennings streamer trick? I know you’ve been keeping that one close! |

Had a watch. Definitely all simple stuff, most of which is will not be new to experienced mentalists.
Some nice touches throughout, nothing revolutionary. Boob eyes is a nice motivation for a Bold Business like routine, assuming it fits your character. Confronting your fears is clever, and could definitely play strong, however it is based on the exposure of the frixion pen, which may be controversial to some. I was a bit disappointed that Bob Cassidy's Bulldog deck was taught without credit. Shaun added an additional element to it, but it absolutely should have been credited. I'm assuming he didn't know, because just said it was 'an old idea'. Actually it was published in 2007 in Cassidy's 'Fundamentals'. The key bend method was also Cassidy's, though it has been fairly widely used and taught elsewhere. Probably should have also been credited though.

Although billed as a beginners lecture I got a lot out of it. I really enjoyed his Charles Grodin-esque lovable idiot character and you will learn a lot about developing your own character. Also second Matt's review above
