Sean Goodman offered for sale, in a different post, his routine using JJ Triple split coins (coalition). Because I like his magic and sleight of hand, normally they are a little bit more difficult than my skills allows, but I thought that with the split coins I could do it, so I went ahead and bought it. It is a really inexpensive to try it.
It is a video in dropbox that you could download, which I did with no issue. It is 21 minutes long and has the routine and the explanation on it. Basic production with one camera showing Sean from waist up, the coins are a little far and when the silver change to chinese is difficult to see at time, but for sure you can follow alone. His explanations are very good The routine consist in the magical appearance of one coin, then 2, then 3, the vanishes and transformation to Chinese coins (Coalition coins) and at the end the vanishes of the 3 coins leaving the magician with empty hands. Caveat: Sean performs with coat and his servante, the servante is used for initial appearances, last vanish and switches with a regular coin, however the body of the routine does not use the servante, nor you need to start with a regular coin. The sleights are easy to do, and very elegant, he uses a heel clip, that I liked it but in my hands is terrible, I need more practice to make it flow as he does. He explains 2 switches and one vanish without the coat, so you have some alternatives to use as well. I am very happy with my purchase and the routine, between JJ's routine and Sean's routine you can easily build your own (or use Sean's) I do recommend his routine and could be used with J. Wong's coins as well, so very versatile. |

Thanks Pablo. I had quite a few requests to explain my handling, which I use all the time in my professional act.
I usually perform in a jacket, but obviously the routine can be done without one, as in the original video. As an aside, you can also use JJs fantastic gimmick for 3 Fly too by using just two of the three sections of the coin - I’ll try to post this in the future! It’s such a cool device, thanks to John for bringing it to the market. Cheers Sean

I can only reiterate the praise that pabloinus extended to Sean for providing this routine.
I am very happy with my purchase, but need to work more as well to make it flow smooth. The teaching of the switch is excellent esp. if you have a secret servante. It really helps to convince the audience. Thanks a lot, Sean for making this available. Cheers, Marc |

Just a wonderful routine.
A little creativity with such a nice set of coins (and a little something extra) takes something that already goes a long way and helps it to go magically even further. If you guys want to go a little further, go with Sean and this wonderful offer from him...he really knows the way.

I bought it a couple weeks back and enjoy Sean's routine a lot. It makes sense and is entertaining. Not to say you don't get good teaching routines from John Jurney, because you really do. This is just another good routine for the set at a reasonable price.
