Dear friends,
Andrei Jikh and Patrick Kun have created the most amazingly poetic custom deck to date. I use the word "poetic" because of how well this deck embodies: The ESSENCE of block chain technology (the backbone of crypto currency) in this gorgeous acrylic puzzle that houses the custom decks. The back design which is FILLED with hidden messages about Bitcoin. The tuck case with a gold foil embossed finish. This is MORE than just another custom deck ... this is a work of ART from artists that are making a statement about the current climate of the financial system. Check out the Kickstarter page for more details: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bit......ng-cards cheers, Greg Rostami Click here to view attached image. |

Yeh but it’s Kickstarter and we know that you’ll never actually receive anything after spending your money.

Hmmm... No mention of authorized use of Bitcoin's name. I wonder if Bitcoin trademarked their name??? It would be awesome if it were a sanctioned project, but I'm not holding my breath. When Bitcoin catches wind of this it could be all over if they didn't authorize it.
https://news.bitcoin.com/a-london-based-......bitcoin/ I smell a cease and decist order in their future and another blackeye for kickstarter. |

There´s not a company behind bitcoin and noone should be able to claim ownership of the word "bitcoin".
However, there´s a company that managed to obtain a registered trademark for the word "bitcoin" in three asset classes: class 25 - clothing, footwear, headgear class 32 - fruit beverages, fruit juices, syrups, beers, mineral and aerated waters and other non-alcoholic beverages class 33 - alcoholic beverages As for the bitcoin puzzle. Yesterday I saw a video of Chris Ramsay solving it. It´s such a thing of beauty and I would love to have one myself. |

It's a crazy four page list of all the clothing and beverages they could think of (except beer?) so in theory they could be OK. But you know how lawyers can be when they get rolling. It's usually a case of how much are you willing to spend proving your claim.

I'm old skool and prefer standard Rider backs, and while I have never bought a 'special' deck, this does look really, really nice.

As the trademark is only registered in the UK, they have no jurisdiction in other countries anyway, and its a joke that they manage to even get a trademark in the UK, they certainly did not invent/create bitcoin, and they don't have anything to do with bitcoin. love to see them attempt to stop china from using the name on anything....
as for the cards, they are nice, but way too expensive, especially when you add shipping to the price. the puzzle is pretty crap though. each to their own. |

I just checked with Patrick and Andrei about the trademark issue and there is NO issue.
