IHOP, nothing could be further from the truth. The value in Harry's books is immeasurable. A lifetime of quality material for under a hundred bucks is a steal. Considering the publishing costs that authors are complaining about these days, prices of books are higher than they used to be. This is part of the reason many are putting out ebooks. Wesley James has recently stated that his new book coming out on the pass would have to be $150 dollars to make it worthwile- which is why instead, it will be a $60 e-book. I thank my lucky stars that Mr. Lorayne is taking the time and effort to provide the fraternity with wonderfully produced, expertly written, physical books filled to the brim with quality, usable card magic that we can cherish for the rest of our lives and pass on to our children. This is not something to take for granted, but something to be appreciated. I hope I can just reach Mr. Lorayne's age one day, let alone author top notch books. Harry Lorayne's books are a steal. and for those who want magic to be easily accessible and dirt cheap, well, maybe that's a good thing for the rest of us who prize this material and enjoy the exclusivity your marginalization provides us.
Keep writing Harry, and do us a favour, raise the price a little next time to keep this gold away from those who put a $6 pricetag on a lifetime of miracles.

Magi fish,
As long as you appreciate them, that’s all that matters.
I try to round out my magic but I’m not too much of a card person.
I suppose that’s why I don’t see the value.
I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.
We each have our likes and dislikes.

Harry's books are loaded to the gills with stuff. Just compare the table of contents with any other card magic book. There really is no comparison in terms of sheer volume.

Keep trying, guys - there's really no way to get through to a troll.

Because they don't WANT to be "gotten through." Mr. Ihop is a fine example - nothing new with his jealousy and hatred - and lack of knowledge - over the years. But you know --- I should, and will, thank him -- his idiocies bring out your flattering testimonials - things I couldn't say because there'd be SCREAMS from the few other "Ihop types" under their moist rocks, pulling wings off flies.

I guess this is not the correct forum for having a different opinion. Why can’t this be a civil discussion.
I’m gone. Bye

The reason it cant be a civil discussion is your quote from earlier stating that "you don't understand 'overpaying' for a Lorayne book" and that it is a "ploy".
Like Magic fish said, the cost of publishing plays a role, not to mention what knowledge Harry has put on the pages.

I think it is "Do you want to drive a Ferrari or a cadillac?" I say Cadillac <not volkswagon> because I'm sure there are some great effects in sum $6 books) 🙂

Honestly I know very little about Harrys works and I bought the book. He has also OFFERED TO TAKE "PAYMENTS" wich to me is unheard of and I wish more people would follow suit on that, because I am also one of the guys who cant afford to stop and drop $100 on a book. 👍. I also know that Harry is a highly accomplished individual outside of magic. To me, a guy who is that accomplished outside AND inside of magic is a no brainer. Also, Who the he** lives to 90 and continues to share? As stated above your quote mentioned above was pretty condescending and wrong. I'm trying not to be biased here but the facts are the facts. $.02. db

Thanks, Dollarbill. Glad you see the jealousy/hate/trollism "pouring" out of Ihop - nothing new with him. He just always acts as if others are hurting HIM when he is "seen through." (International House Of Pancakes - ??)

Hi guys, back to the topic here, I tinkered with this for months with Harry’s blessing but you know what? Harry’s original is better. You’d think I’d have learned after 30 years.
