Good Evening Everyone,
I am William Bower Jr. Please call me Will. I was born , raised and, live in Las Vegas, NV. The Entertainment Capitol of The World... Did I do magic growing up? Of course I did! However, because I listened to the Nay Sayers I put magic down around the age of 16 and focused on other things. I have traveled the U.S. and have been to many different countries (Mostly in the Military). Each place I went to, I found magic somewhere. Recently, I met Smoothini The Hip Hop Houdini. Who I didn't know was a Veteran from my era. He definitely renewed my passion for magic! Magic is something that has always stuck with me in some way. Either; in a bar or at family dinners, I would do the few tricks I retained in my youth. I went to a local veteran hangout and saw Smoothini performing his routine with confidence and ease. He seemed so comfortable in that space and "ate-up" every moment. I instantly thought to myself, I want that kind of magic in my life again! With him being a Vet; and a magician, I had to find out more. Forget the fact that he has his own TV Show (Which I didn't know until I spoke to him) on Hulu, and talking about a 2nd Season. I was just glad to have met such a good friend and brother. Now with Magic on the Internet; instead of being mostly hidden in books and instructional videos, I am able to pick up this hobby again. And; better yet, I found this forum so I can talk to magicians of all levels even some of the Pros iv'e noticed. So, no more wondering if something will work or struggling without getting help. Happy to be here! Don't be shy, say Hi! |

Welcome willvegas702,
And welcome back to Magic. I is always a good feeling to know another Magician found his way back into wonder and fun. You are not alone, there are quite a few returning Magicians here. It is always good to hear that celebrities are also nice people. Thanks to you (and Smoothini) for your service. - Mary Mowder |

Hi willvegas702, and welcome!
I echo Mary's gratitude, and thank you for your service. I grew up in the Vietnam era, and never understood the hatred spewed on our military during that time. Hate the war but not the warriors. I'm glad the tide has turned and people understand the extreme importance of our servicemen and servicewomen. Sorry, rant over. My wife and I love traveling in the states and internationally as well. Every city I'm in I try to either visit a magic shop or see a show. It's been a challenge, as my wife couldn't care less about the art, but she compromises and submits to my quirky whim. And you're right. Magic can be found everywhere.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
