That is quite and exceptional piece of functional art...Quite a collector's piece, I'd say. And I'm sure some wonderful magic could be done with it...Thinking of some nice patter right now within the production and later vanish of the coin.
Very nice idea!

His work varies from $500 . .to . . $1000 average and then the top dollar ones . . in the $2000.-$5000. range.
I've seen lots of bidders on some of his work. I wouldn't want to use this for any magic that could be accidentally "dropped on the floor. . . ." And. . . In some situations, I've had bar patrons (probably a little drunk) GRAB a coin on a table I am working with and run with it, especially if it looks "valuable". (That's WHY I don't work with antique and Valuable LOOKING coins.) I don't suppose you want to present Valuable LOOKING coins and head to the (dark) parking lot without an escort or armed guard, or be FOLLOWED from a bar/ venue and stop anywhere, or FOLLOWED to your home. A long time ago . . I heard a story where a man's finger was cut off, in a dark parking lot, for an IMITATION DIAMOND RING. And another beat up and robbed in parking lot for his FAKE ROLEX. You have no idea WHO is in these places, with long rap sheets and needs money. |
