I think I may have asked this once before, but I will try agian.
Does anyone know of a legal way... TO watch some of the shows on subscription channels without payig to subscribe to that channel? One of my students suggested Showbox, but that is not legal. I don't mind paying a few dollars to watch the shows (there are now five shows on three channels with more coming) I am thining that paying $10 or so to watch the show is better than subscribing to a network which costs a lot more and watching only one or two shows.

The only legal way I can think of is to pick up the box sets when and if they’re released.
Other than that, to try to watch anything on a subscription service without paying for the subscription is tantamount to sneaking into a theatre to see the movie without paying for it. It can be done, but it’s not right!

I agree with you Ed, but you may have missed what I meant. I am not looking to steal. I am wondering if anyone knows about the pay network channels releasing videos to other pay services that allow you to pick and choose rather than the whole subscription.

I thought Sling TV allows you to customize what channels you get.

Ask one of your students who subscribes to stream the thing while you're present. TV is not a single viewer interface (yet).

It if refreshing to see someone concerned about getting money to those who create. Good on ya for doing that.
Problem is that perspective can be an expensive one.

You can often watch the latest episodes of TV shows by going to the station's website. such as:
Comedy Central: http://www.cc.com/ AMC: https://www.amc.com/ Country Music Television http://www.cmt.com/ Just about every popular station will have a website ... some of them are free, some have membership (often included with your cable TV subscription) but even the membership ones usually have some free episodes to watch. -JoeJoe

Further to JoeJoe's suggestion, there are directories of where to legally watch various content, like https://www.justwatch.com/us .

He is not talking about free TV but rather subscription services.

Here is a page that has pretty much all the options including services, channels, sports, news, kids, and some web-only options as well. It is pretty easy to get rid of the cable bill, I haven't had one in years now.

Thanks, Joe Joe, that site pretty much lets me pick and choose. Don't know if it will work for me, but it is just what I asked for.
