Somehow, I lost my backup 18-inch silk blendo. (That's 4 9-inch silks (red, green, blue and yellow) that blend into an 18-inch blend of the four colors. I've looked on Penguin, Magic Warehouse, and numerous other sites with no luck. Any and all help is appreciated.

Dynamike, I found all of those. I'm looking, specifically for the 17-inch I described in my post. I will check out Wonder Imagery though. Thanks.

It looks like the manufacture does not make the 17”/18” size you requested any more. You can also buy a few solid color silks and take them to a local seamstress to see if they can sew them together the size you would like.

I'm going to assume that you're looking for a non-gimmicked blendo. So, a silk set.
Here's a Blendo that is an 18" silk, but there are 5 colours (not 4) and it's a target pattern (you didn't specify what you want the final blendo itself to look like -- there are lots and lots of different options out there). https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......gic.html Or you can supply your own individual small silks (or buy them), after buying your 18" Blendo Finale Silk. 18" Diamond Sunburst Pattern Silk. https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......cks.html 18" Rainbow Striped Silk. https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......gic.html 18" Medallion Silk. https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......gic.html https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......k-3.html https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......k-1.html 18" Four Colour Silk. https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......gic.html 18" Tie Dyed Silk by Dazzling Magic. http://www.dazzlingmagic.com/item/tie-dyed-sunburst-silks Plus, there are lots of picture silks in an 18" size. David Ginn has a nice selection, too. https://www.ginnmagic.org/product-category/silks/ - Donald

I finally managed to find the diagonally printed four-color 18" silk, after three days of searching, but it's in China. The one from China (same four colors as the one you found, but printed diagonally) is the one I currently use and I'm still considering ordering from China, but I'm just a little leery about dealing outside the US. Also, the shipping is outrageous and I'm not even sure of duty and taxes on imports. If I don't order the diagonally printed ones that I use now, I'll be more than happy with the four square one you fount at Silk Magic. Again, thanks for finding the four-square one that you found. I was actually on Silk Magic but I didn't find that one. You're research skills are second to none. :o) |

You're welcome.
I think I understand which silk pattern you're describing. Here is a diagonal stripe multicolour in 36", but I think there was an 18" version at one time. Maybe by a different supplier / manufacturer. For some reason I'm thinking Fantasio used to supply that silk pattern years ago (in addition to his line of cane and candle magic), because I remember buying a couple of 18" silks in that pattern. https://stores.silkmagictricks.com/produ......tta.html - Donald P.S. Bob Sanders said on another thread at one time, that he sold a diagonal striped silk in an 18" size. I don't know if they're are still available from him, but that's another lead to pursue. http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=54

On Nov 6, 2018, Donald Dunphy wrote: That's exactly the pattern I was talking about, Donald. I originally bought mine from Duane Laflin, many, many moons ago. I love the orientation and my routine takes advantage of it. I still have one left but I always like to have one or two backups for the Library circuit. (Saves ironing between shows.) That's the one I found in China and may just order them that way. Just over cautious since I was burned once by ordering from abroad. Again, thanks for all of your help. You are greatly appreciated. PS: I somehow lost both my backup, as well as the four 9" inch silks that go with it, AND a 36" Rabbit In Hat "The End" silk. I'm thinking that I must have tossed them all into the garbage when I was repacking for another show - along with the spent mouth-coils, paper ribbons, and other expendables. Gotta love this business. :o) |

I finally decided to go with the one you recommended, Donald. The China connection didn't work out - they jacked the shipping from $18.00 to $28.00, and didn't carry the 9" colors I wanted to go along with the 18" multi-color - PLUS... I would have had a 1% international fee on my credit card and would have been responsible for any import taxes and duty fees. Also turns out that your recommended source carried all the matching colors I needed, plus a back-up Silk Poke that I use in my routine. I merely have to change my patter from "Which two colors are in the middles," to "Which two colors are left?" The rest will play as usual.

BTW, if you're ever looking for high quality solid colour silks, I recommend the ones sold / made by Dazzling Magic (Marty & Brenda Hahne). They make their own.
For years, I've been doing a routine in my birthday show with four 18" solid colour silks (red, blue, yellow, green), along with a "Happy Birthday Silk Set" (18" black and white, 18" colour). I bought a new set of replacement silks from Marty a couple of years ago. Naturally, I knew that the "Happy Birthday Silk Set" would be India type of quality, because I'd owned one before. But the solid colour silks that Marty & Brenda sell are quite nice. A thicker momme. - Donald P.S. Looking over their site, I'm not sure if they sell a 9" size. They have 12", 15", 18", 24" and 36" listed on their site. http://www.dazzlingmagic.com/
