Hello everyone, first post here!
I find myself in a real pickle and it's driving me CRAZY. for my new act, I want to produce goldfish out of thin air and saw a video by a magician who set something on fire and grabbed the ASH it produced to turn it into a black goldfish. FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I cannot find it anywhere. Can anyone help me? thank you so much for your help, you are life saviors. |

Dear Dick, congratulations on your 4895th post! Very happy for you.
I'm not asking for a method, just a video link. And this is my design website, not my Magic one, but thank you for your constructive comments. I'm preparing a show for my Master's degree in Product Design and am an apprentice member at the Magic Circle. Is that enough to be accepted here? |

As there is not enough information given to locate your video, I can only suggest you search the Café for Catching Fish trick. Kevin James sells a gimmick with DVD to produce a Goldfish.
Your countryman, the late Alan Shaxon created his Fishing Pole to catch fish from the air, and a model is currently being sold in your country for this effect. Traditionally, it has always been done on stage with a fishing pole. Mac King made the Fish from hand currently popular. He has never tipped his method, but it is similar to the Kevin James method. Don't know what exactly your are looking to present, but as stated, there is no such product or effect like burnt ashes to gold fish on the magic market. You could get the classic effect, "Red Ashes" and combine it with the Kevin James effect, to present an ashes to fish trick. |

Bettinapdb, here's a quote from another member in another topic about fish.
Quote: The expert on fish production in Toronto is my good friend XRAY the magician.

Thank you but, no congratulations necessary, --I've just been around for "awhile"...
Your post sounded like trolling. That's why I gave you a SHORT answer. Your status as an Apprentice Member of the Magic Circle, at least "opens the door". I was an Associate Member of the inner Magic Circle (with Gold Star for a number of years. I finally resigned because I could never make a meeting! I am an Order of Merlin Excelsior of IBM, a 41 year member of SAM, and Member # 6 7/8 of the SECRET SIX. That may sound impressive, but, it just means that I've been around for awhile. Apparently Bill and Dave have given you several good leads. Best wishes!

I think the effect you are looking for was from David Stone. Try to Google with his name to find his video clip. Here is a very obvious method for you that I believe it's the same effect David Stone did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCf-_MPWsRw
