I have been out of magic for awhile. Can someone tell me where Paul Harris' routine Reset was originally published. Would like to perform that routine again.

You might want to look for Caleb Wiles Reswindled. Paul Harris said it is the best version of reset.

Wayne, The original "Reset" can be found in "Super Magic" by Paul Harris on page 77. As Magic Mike states above, "Reswindled" is an excellent version of "Reset".

I had that book once. I loaned it to someone and that was the last I saw of it.

Supermagic was an early favourite.
Lots of fun stuff in there. |

Paul Harris mentions in Art of Astonishment that the instructions were wrong. If you would try to perform "Pain" as taught in Super Magic, you'll be going to the ER. Learn it from Art of Astonishment. |

I did it as taught in Super magic (with some caution) and yes, it hurt.

I love this trick so much that I do two versions of it, depending on how I feel. As previously mentioned, Reswindled is probably the best version of this effect. I use it all the time. The second version I do is by David Harkey, and can be found in his book Simply Harkey. The effect is called Persuasion. I've been doing Harkey's handling for so long, I can't remove it from my repertoire.
