I just did "4 Coin Assembly" for the first time and I really like it... It is the trick where you have 4 coins on a cloth and each coin is near the corner and you use two cards and show how you can cover two coins at a time and end up with 4 coins under one card. I really like it.. Any comment’s?

Wow...congrats Jeff!
Welcome to the addictive world of coin assemblies and matrix effects. Where did you learn it from? |

Matrix has to be one of the all-time great effects. Prior to getting back into magic, I happened into the local magic/joke shop. The one effect I was interested in seeing was Matrix. That one close-up item had stuck in my memory.
The owner gladly demonstrated it. A true magician. Scott O.

Hi Jeff!
Isn't it a great feeling seeing, and doing the assembly for the first time! Lots of great variations out there! Have you seen Michael Ammar's, "Shadow Coins"? How about Paul Cummins', "Knihc-a-Knihc"? Both are great, bare hand assemblies!!! Might also want to check out Michael Gallo's, "Back and Forth", "Forth and Back" and, "All Gone Matrix"...Great eye candy as they call it! CONGRATULATIONS for learning a beautiful piece of magic!

Several good things about matrix effects:
They can be done with cover or barehanded. They can be done with gimmicks or without. They can be done with minimum sleight of hand or highly complicated sleights. In short, a matrix is something that is adaptable to just about anybody. Back in the ’70s, it seemed just about everybody had a version. Then the matrix seemed to fall out of favor. I’m glad it’s showing a comeback; it’s a lovely effect. cheers, Peter Marucci |
