My wife called me today, to tell me I had a big box from Wolf's Magic. I raced home as fast as I could to open it.
I love it!!!!!!! I now have a Wacky Weasel and two extra Weasel. Chance, this should be the best trick of 2005! I think I might make a sign that said "Out To Lunch" This sign will come up out of the box after the balls fly out. This will give me some more jokes for the show. I'm also going to make a big Weasel gun that shoot snakes to open this trick. This is going to be a fun ride. Emmett, |

All I can say is WOW. This is a great piece of work. I do have one design suggestion though. The chamber, which receives the 3 balls and the deck of cards, should have a pull out sleeve or compartment to make reset a bit less taxing. I will probably make my own from thin black plastic or sheet metal if I can hunt the right materials and fabricate it
Beyond that I think this is a real character, comedy piece. Every adult I've shown it too, loves it, the kids too. This is a real crowd pleaser.

Ok....have to share this story....I will no longer be performing Lance the Wacky Weasel.
Instead.....I have changed him from a weasel to a snipe. I and another comedian I perform with were booked to do a dinner theater weekend at a State Park and Resort in the mountains of West Virginia. We arrived Friday night and spent Saturday morning sightseeing and hiking the beautiful and scenic woods. With six hours before show time we were brainstorming during lunch and I realized how useful being stuck in the woods with Marty's video camera and my laptop could be. So off we went to our rooms to grab our gear. Marty set up outside the front doors of the resort and my wife and I hopped in the van and headed down the driveway. Marty then filmed us pulling up to the resort and getting out of the car heading for the main entrance. All of a sudden, something catches my eye and I leave my wife standing by herself as I dash down the hill into the woods. (Did I mention I had changed into a pair of khaki shorts and a khaki shirt? And was brushing up on my best Crocodile Hunter impersonation.) We then filmed me dashing through the trail in the woods and Marty standing in front of a sign that I ran up behind and then headed deeper into the woods. (I ran right by the sign signifying poison ivy without noticing it). I then narrated for the camera how I was on the trail of the Rare West Virginia Wacky Snipe. Unlike most snipes, this indigineous species only come out in the broad daylight. (I do a very lousy Australian accent). While Marty was filming, my wife was standing next to him off camera making the weasel "talk" next to the microphone as I was saying if you listen closely, you can hear the snipe in it's natural habitat. Long story short, the video cuts to a shot of the snipe up in a tree and me quietly scaling the tree to grab it by it's tail. We fall out of the tree and were to wrestle around on the ground like the crocodile hunter. Only problem was, I got a little carried away and ended up going over an embankment and down a small hill. No real injuries other than a lot of scrapes and cuts and a tree root to my lower back. (All in the name of comedy). The video ends with me wrestling the snipe into the burlap bag and the bag begins thrashing. With my free hand, I grab a tree branch and smack the bag knocking the weasel/snipe out cold. A disclaimer ends the video stating "No West Virginian Snipe were injured during the filming of this video." Needless to say, the audience thought it was hilarious. We travel with a projector and were able to secure a screen from the resort. I told the audience we wanted to show a video of our afternoon and I walk off stage as the video starts. As the video ends, the Jaws Music starts and I walk back out with the bag thrashing about. The rest of the routine is the same. The audience also picked up on the joke of me scratching the rest of the night. Thanks Chance. I am having more fun with this then I could have imagined. |

Good day mate, that is a routine! I thought Snipe hunts only happened in college! Awsome build up for a routine that can live up to the expectation. Arthur Atsma |

UPDATE: Little did I know that not only did I catch the snipe, I did come down with a little bit of the poison ivy. Little on the legs, little on the arms.

Michael, you ARE a maniac! That is too good to post here for the taking. Man, that could/should be a signature piece. Now someone might "independently" develop the same idea. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Chance,
We are doing a bit of editing to the video, but I would be happy to burn it and send it to you. Need to get a hold of Shelley and order the extra weasel to use in my strait jacket routine. Thanks for the compliment. Keep coming up with tremendous ideas Chance and I will do my best to make them look presentable. Michael |

Hello fellow Weasel Heads,
Some quick TIPS! Please remember to LEAN the box back a bit while using the Weasel to pop open the lid. This relieves stress on the mechanism and will increase the life span of the prop..and the Weasel's little melon We have upgraded ( already) the gimmick Ball on Head holder. Instead of a Post, we simple imbedded a 1/4" round x 1/8" thick rare Earth Magnet. You can do this yourself by taking a pair of pliers and GENTLY twist out the post then use a 1/4" drill bit and drill a hole just deep enough for the magnet. DRILL VERY SLOW as you do not want to go too deep. Super glue magnet in place. The upgrade eliminates the lifting of the ball. Sorry I did not think of this on the first run I will post more tips as I think of them, Chance Wolf's Magic

Hey Frank,
I can assure you the seller is selling his Wacky Weasel for conflict in performance reasons only. He happens to be one of our most loyal customers. Actually, like quite a few of our customers, he was nice enough to call us first just to explain why he decided to seel the unit. It was in NO way based upon quality or problems. He simply decided to go down a different performance avenue in which this routine would not fit. So now id someones chance to save a $100 if they want to adopt a Weasel Well, the secong run is selling out FAST!! If you have been on the fence about adding this to your show...better act fast as we are attending conventions and will be sure to be sold out very soon!! Take care and thanks for the support, Chance Wolf's Magic

I actually sold one I took in trade a few days ago on eBay, but a very good client requested that I end the auction early and sell it directly to him. It wasn't posted on eBay for more than four or five hours before it was sold. But, the guy who traded it to me just found it wasn't his cup of tea. To each his own; some people just find they can't use it after all. But, it is one of the BEST made props I have ever seen and I would recommend if someone has a place for this type of magic in his show that he jump on the one running now. Why not save $100?

Any thought on "impersonations" one could do with the weasel... such as what I have heard is done with a raccoon?

Although there is no spring, you can still get some good action with the weasel!
