I own a ? of flowers by Abbott for Harry Blackstone Sr. It is a platform with a lattice work back. it produces twelve bouquets of flowers and has two end caps that opens and I was told it held ribbons.

Anyone know anything on this> name, how it might work ????

It might be something called the Caliphe's garden. I think I saw it in an old abbotts catalogue.

I think it was the pietre garden of flowers.
My dad owned an original one before selling it to Jim.
God I know what you are talking. I'll ask my
dad, since he worked with Blackstone, Sr
on the show.

The Garden of Flowers doesn't show up in the P&L Book, but that doesn't mean anything, because there were a lot of P&L items that didn't show up there.

The Owen catalog from the 1970's has an item called "The Enchanted Garden," which is similar, attributed to Les Smith. But I have a feeling this goes back to Thayer. It could have been produced by Abbott's as well. Louie will know, though.

I can't wait to find out. Guess I'll have to!
