For various reasons, I doubt the dispute will ever be resolved but the Miesel and Marlo treatments predate both Jennings and Cervon. As for my version, I appreciate your kind words about my handling but I first published my version in my book, Pasteboard Perpensions, in 1990. That book was out of print for a period of time but I re-printed it about six months ago, so it can be obtained through my Magical Tools web site. Just between you and me, I have another version, with additional features, that is slated for my forthcoming work, Legacy. A few of the guys have seen the new treatment and consider it a major breakthrough. Wesley James |

I also like Jennings' Slow Motion Aces, but my favorite is Gary Oulettes' Dream of Aces done to music.....

I love Dominique Duvivier's Progressive Assembly. I use it all the time and get great reactions, simply beautiful. If you have not seen it check it out. It's on Volume 2 of his video series The Magic of Dominique Duvivier.

One example of Standard Assembly I mean is Ed Marlo's Assembly in Tarbell Course which uses Braue Add-on.
Bob Kohler Equivoque is described in Bob Kohler's 'Aces in Their Faces'. Hideo Kato |

As Werner posted before I edit my post, I am posting P.S. for the former post.
The handling of distributing four piles of four cards packet is same as 'all-at-once' type, but revealing proceedure is done 'one by one'. The overall effect looks as though 'One at a time flight'. I highly recommend Bob Kohler's 'Aces in Their Faces' for its Equivoque. Hideo Kato |

I haven't yet seen anything top the gaffed MacDonald's aces type routine.
And I've seen most of the assemblies out there. Reinhard Mueler has a manuscript on ace assemblies with good references. Darwin Ortiz's Annotated Erdnase lists the notable handlings in the literature. |

My Favourite has to be the electronic deck which appears in Walter Maddisons booklet "Aces".
Efect:- the patter goes along the lines of cards becomming computerised to make things easier for dealers in casinos. For example if a dealer wanted to get the four aces during a game he would programme tha cards in like this (cards are cut and lost into the deck). The dealer would then take his floppy disk (a small packet of cards are cut from the centre), integrate the circuits (perform a faro shuffle with the small packet {much easier that a full faro}) the small packet is then pushed into the large packet so that another small packet slides out from the front end of the deck, the top card of this packet is one of the aces. The other four cards are also found in this unusual and topical manner |

Again, Birnman Revalation, And I third Vernon's Slow Motion Assembly; I use perform it all the time. Both are great, though Vernon's really includes the audience.

I have to say that McDonald's Aces is the best, especially Ouellet's handling. Copperfield's version of the event is stunning and is, next to the Spirit Cabinet, my favorite illusion of his. Now, magicians will know how Copperfield's variation is done, but it is beautifully executed. Also, I don't have anything by Ortiz so could someone elaborate what Hitchcock Aces is. I do, however, remember Jazz Aces from ETMCM, and it was the best impromptu ace assembly and it was improved by Ortiz. Thanks a lot.
Cheers, mackmania

Christopher, how easy/difficult is the "Bullet Train" routine easy to do? I am thinking of purchasing Dear Mr. Fantasy.

Do not forget Tamariz '4 aces' Pretty much self working and easy to doing. The best of all, interactive with audiences.
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

Not a bad effect on camera, but live you have a problem with all of those darn sticky tape gaffs talking. With so many impromptu (or less gaffed) ace assemblies out there that are more effective, I wouldn't recommend the Penguin Ultimate Ace Assembly. |

Edh, Bullet Train is very simple and straight forward to do, no hard or complicated sleights, its just a work of art, you should buy Dear Mr Fantasy anyway, everyone should own it
