I would like to purchase "The Man Who is Erdnase", does anyone know if Jeff is the only source for this book?
He has such a terrible reputation, I am reluctant to send him money.
Richard Kaufman stated "anyone sending Jeff money is crazy"

You could get that book on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Man-Who-Was-Erdnase-Franklin/dp/B000KI2ZNC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1328221299&sr=8-2
I want to add my voice to the legion of magicians out there who were outright CHEATED by Jeff Busby as regards to the promises not met with the Braue Notebooks (I was one as well.) I contacted the postmaster, filed claims, made complaints - all to no avail. I long ago gave up on the hope of ever either getting the promised volumes of the notebooks or the considerable refund due me. The miscreant never answered my eMails or calls either. I hold no affection for this fellow.

BTW, that $48.50 on Amazon is an excellent price for this book, especially considering it's new and still in shrink wrap.
Normally, the regular edition goes for at least double that.
If'en you're interested, this is the best deal I've seen on this book in years.

I'll snap it up right away. It's to good to be true, but I hoping it is for real.
Thank you very much Rhett, I am in your debt! Sorry Jeff did you wrong.

Another place to search for the book is:
http://www.vialibri.net/
It's a search engine that searches several different book listings.

What an enlightening thread this is, not least because of the great insights into the mentally destabilizing effects of improperly managed diabetes. Explains a lot concerning certain folks I know. Busby seems a really pathetic figure....possibly worse.

Not that I'm aware of. Not many magicians care to know about the well being of Busby. He burned to many bridges, and caused too many other problems over the years. So any updates as to where or how he is. Will most likely not be forth coming. A few years back there had a been a rumor that Jeff had died. As far as I know no one ever did any research to see if he was even still around or not.

Not altogether true. I, for one, prefer to remember him for his positive contributions.

The last thing I heard was Richie Kaufman bought his sites when they lapsed.

That is true I'm sure but it still doesn't mean that some simply don't care. Ask R.K. or quite a few other's if they do.
What I said didn't even elude to no one care about J.B's prior contributions.

I challenge you on this Christopher. It may, in fact be true, but I doubt that you have any proof to back up your post. You should be more thoughtful, and stop posting for the sake of posting (for goodness sake!). Jeff Busby is actually quite ill these days. Despite his lack of judgement later in life, I prefer to remember him for his most positive contributions.
|
|
That's actually never been confirmed that Jeff is sick. He claimed about six or seven
years ago that he had a stroke but at that time he still continued to raise hell over Paul Fox items on E bay etc... Again no one ever bothered to even try to determine if he was really sick or not.

RS, perhaps you should let sleeping dogs lie, my friend. What has passed, has passed (particularly the 4-year old posts you are dredging up).

I understand what you are saying, however I did not dredge up this thread. It was done long before I have replied a few days ago. It was revived earlier this year by someone else and then again this time by another person.
