I am looking for a one person suspension for my kids show and I came up Klamm Magic's Walk-Away X Suspension. Have any of you used it or have heard of it. Thanks!

I have one and I don't like it. Too much wiggle and wobble. The design of the gimmick, I think, is wrong. The Mak Flying Carpet is a better design. It is on the floor not on the platform. It looks good in photos .... that's it ... I know a few who like it and use it a lot, but I think the design is wrong.

I have one that I have used for a few publicity shots. However, it has never gotten a good reaction in live performance. I don't think the audience buys the fact that someone is floating unless they can see no visible means of support.

Ya know what?
With the presentation I created,
and the redecoration of the props,
and the correct music,
I get as much mileage from this as a true levitation.

Mine is well made, portable,
and gets a great audience reaction
when performed in an appropriate setting.

I would not sell mine for any price now,
one guy's "junk" is indeed another guy's "treasure".

Don’t be so quick to judge, I’ve seen way more expensive garbage,
that just won’t work for anyone.

Magically,
Walt

I also have one,

and yes I do like it, with a good routine it is a great inexpensive suspension.

But as pointed out before it does wobble, it does not well in my car as it the boards are long. I find it a bit under designed

Since I am looking to purchase a levitation for my show, I am going to put the suspension up for sale

If you keep one foot firmly pressed on rear-half of the platform's center
when standing behind, or one foot on the front-half of the platform's center
when in front of the unit,
you can drastically cut down on any wobble during the entire performance procedure. Experiment!
Magically,
Walt

When did they take the wheels off the Mak Magic Flying Carpet. When I had my none revolving version, it was on casters. Did they remove them?

I too, have been bitten by the Klamm Magic PIECE OF JUNK !!!!! I would not recommend it to any one for any type of show. You should not have hold it or stabilize any prop. When you do it ruins the illusion and does not create the effect that you desired and if anything it may give away the secret of the suspension. What got me even more that, when I called to talk to him about it he informed me that he rented these all the time to non magicians (corporate folks and the such like) and had never had a complaint. I could not believe that a brother magician would rent a magic effect to a non magician and expose the trick. They would not spend the time in rehearsal to properly present the illusion, which would ruin the illusion for the next magician that would perform the same trick to someone who was in the audience when it was not presented correctly. I might be wrong about this but I think that violates our magic ethics.

I'm surprised you found the Walk-Away X Suspension to be such a bad trick... I mean, it's not one of the best levitation tricks I have done, but with the right presentation and some mild modifications, I managed to make the audience excited. I agree with Spellbinder regarding the fact that the props could use some redecoration. Klamm Magic's products may use some tweaking here and there, but I really would not call them junk.

I too used this for over 7 years for hundreds of people at a time in school shows. The audiences were made up of parents, teens, young children and it never failed to blow them away. I agree it's not the best built levitation in the world, but for $400 I really got my money out of it. Polling the audience usually revealed this as their favorite effect. I used a MAK Flying Carpet for years before I got this, and while the Flying Carpet is built better, in terms of illusion, I feel the Klamm X was miles ahead in terms of the illusion. Different people have different opinions and experiences. Last year I wanted to 'downsize' a bit and ordered a Klamm Chair Suspensiuon which I'm also very pleased with.
