I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, but are any of you planning on being at the Metro-Magic Covention in NJ on Nov 6? I'm looking forward to meeting some of you.

I lived in Jersey all my life and the most I ever went to was the Round Table in Linden I got a chance to see Aldo in April but I join the military and BOOM all these things are happening in Jersey.

Great convention, great evening close up session. A pleasure to see Steve doing his close up, creativity and off the wall humor, and Darwin and Bobby did not disappoint.

Steve Dusheck brought some new items to the convention. Mickey showed (by example) how to treat an audience. Vinny... where were you?

It was a great convention with some great names. I was also impressed with all the other names who just happened to come and hang out. Herb Zarrow, Mier Yedid, and Gary Freed (creator of "NFW" were also in attendance.

I really enjoyed the convention.Steve is talented ,creative and very nice.
Bobby Gallo taught a great okito box subility. I actually got to see Mickey Silver do his human slot machine. I think the whooshing sound adds to the trick.This is the most amazing effect I have seen. The second most amazing thing I saw were the prices at Harolds deli.To charge $13 to $29 For a sandwich,Even a giant Sandwh ich, iS amazing. I will be Going to metro magic 2.Their stated goal is to have an intimate convention.They said they want to book 3 acts ,1) a top pro,2) a legend, and 3)a lesser known magician. All goals were met I am more than satisfied. |

I'd like to read a more indepth review of the convention, especially Dushek's lecture and material. I hope this event gives Steve the urge to do a lecture tour again.

Really nice convention! Steve Dusheck, Darwin Ortiz, Jonathan Townsend, Paul Hallas, Eric Jones,Mickey Silver, Meir Yedid......I know I'm forgetting a bunch, but what a great group for a small convention.
