I just got this video (picked it up on eBay) have only watched it once so far, but it is a terrific addition to my Cellini information.
Nice cups and balls, a little of this and a little of that, from cards to coins, to Slydini's silks. Even the smoking cigarette is explained. 80 minutes of great content and reasonable (not great, but acceptable) production quality video. So now I dont feel so bad about missing his Lectures live! Has anyone else seen this video? And I especially wonder how much different his lecture is today, than this one filmed in London in 1997? BroDavid

I also have the video and think it every bit as valuable as the new Street Magic DVD being touted as the be all and end all to the street magic scene. In fact, bang for the buck I prefer this old video to the new DVD.
His lecture is more an update of that earlier lecture (I have had the privilege to have seen both the early version and the present version). There is little new content aside from tipping different tricks and effects. His discussion of his street performance theory and practice is more polished today (as can be expected after almost 20 years of giving the same spiel!). Still the man is a wonder in person and keeps you spellbound with the scope of his knowledge. This element barely comes across in the taped lecture or the DVDs.

Yes mumblepeas! I agree that it has a lot of what is on the DVD.
What I like most is finally seeing Jim Cellini do the performances. And although it is not done completely as it would be on the street, he does work the lecture crowd, a lot like he would work a street crowd. Another thing I continue to enjoy is his casual style that comes across so smooth. He claims not to be much of a card man, and then shows some nice fourishes, and nice card work. I think it was Kozmo, who said elsewhere in another topic, that Cellini just makes it all look easy! Based on the bang for the buck, This definitely complements my other Cellini videos and is very instructive. BroDavid

well....the dvd was put out for specific reasons...to teach just about the skills needed to succeed on the streets....the older video talked about those things but certainly not in as great detail...and with the different styles that all the performers use on the dvd....and the quality of production is not even close....i have the old video and i like it a lot....but if you want to learn the real lessons its not even in the same league as the dvd....the things not contained on the dvd are the cellini perfomance.....but the video is titled ...."The art of street performing"....and its only intention is to teach how to work out there on those streets....now, the next video will have a lot more performance on it....while explaining why these artists are doing these type of effects...it will be more focused on magic.....
