Far as I've read, its a CD - so you could put it in your computer??

I have read that it is a CD. It may play in a DVD player that is setup to allow VCD's to play. VCD is a format of CD that never made it big in the US but was and is still popular in Asia and perhaps Europe. I only have one older DVD player that plays VCD's. It may not be a VCD. I hope its not a PAL format, that's another problem too. If not it should work in you computer, you may need software or open the files with Media player. My Melting Point is in shipment so that's all the help I can offer for now.

WOW. I did not think of using my computer. There were absoultly no instructions with it. I sent it back to Hank Lees Magic Factory - said they would send me another copy.
To the marketers - instructions are good, even simple ones. |

Richard, would you mind telling us more about the product that makes you use JUNK this word?
In love with magic!

I think the product is good and the effect is great. The only thing I would consider junk is the production of the DVD. I will not be buying any more effects from this producer unless I am sent a re-done dvd for this. For the money it should have been much more user friendly.

I agree with John 100%. Great effect and product, well worth MY money.
I did find it ironic, however, that the back label actually brags about having: "20 years of dedication in several professional aspects (computers, engineering, design, production, and communication, to name a few.)" The accompanying cd was simply not well done. I would've thought that during those "20 years" someone would've figured out how to engineer, design, produce, and communicate the information a whole lot better. I would like to think that Cesaral will think twice before releasing anything again in the same manner. |

Ah people, you're too picky.
You're paying for the effect. Can you do now what you saw in the preview? If so, than it's all good and should be worth it. |

I just received melting point and am very happy with what was inside. The effect is simple and the handling and steps on the video are very wellthought out. It is an effect I will use.

Having to click and scroll through the sequences is being picky. Not being able to see and hear the entire instruction straight through....picky. Even if the instructions were only in a manuscript, this is worth it. My point is that a DVD (TV instead of monitor, remote control instead of mouse, chapters and options instead of clicking through windows explorer) is a lot more user friendly and if you're going to bother making a video then why not do so in the best format available. I would bet dollars to donuts that Cesaral, in retrospect, would agree. But all that said, this is my best purchase in a long time. Phenomenal! |

I have read the creator will offer a real DVD perhaps next month. It was a tricky thing since the box just screams I am a DVD in the US market.

I don't think I'll need the DVD but I think for future sales and customer satisfaction it would be a wise move to make it standard. The price is certainly high enough to cover it.

It amazes me that they wouldn't do a dvd in the first place. When you charge $60 and the materials included are very low cost.

Come on complainers...who in 2006 don't have a PC or a Mac with which try the CD/DVD?
You are buying a very good effect that you will surelly use. The price you payed is nothing... Think twice before writting. |

Thirdly, the "...price you payed (sic)..." was not 'nothing' and even if it was free, my comments would stand. The effect is well worth the price. It is not the effect that 'we' are discussing. The price is not an issue. Lastly, as far as I am concerned, it's quite obvious that you didn't even read the 'complaints' before you yourself complained about the complaining. I am wondering if the method is what I think it is...let me ask this: if you borrow a quarter is there a switch that must be done?? Is it truely their coin if borrowed (although with my thinking two coins are needed). Now mind you, I have been studying the magical arts for years now and have no intention of using this or copying this effect without purchasing it first. It is not something that I would probably ever add to my repetoire. Just a curiosity question....JPV
