Who makes the Eclipse or Spirit. I only know "American" and "European" as a general rule. Dube and Renegade have other designs that they have made names for but I don't know of the ones you speak of.

If it stands between these two clubs:
http://www.higginsbrothers.com/buyspirithandle.htm and http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/det......v=glance I'd go for neither. It is crap clubs. Unibody hurts your wrists and they are a nightmare to juggle. Go for something better, upgrade and have fun instead of paying for clubs that you probably will hate some weeks later. But on the other hand - what will you do with the clubs? If you haven't juggled clubs before - whats the hurry? It takes some dedication and hard work to be able to do an entertaining show with clubs. Quality clubs can be found at the following links: http://www.beard.co.uk/ http://www.renegadejuggling.com/ Skip the unibodys. /Ark

I suggest you go to ebay and buy a used set of Renegade, Dube, Tod Smith, Henry, be careful to deal in brand names only, because if you don't have a decent set of clubs no one will ever want to pass clubs with you, and the cheaper the club the harder it will be for you to learn. You can use a good set of clubs for ten years so $100 is not a lot of money.
buy quality Al Angello

I am getting solid with my ball work and I want to move up to clubs. There is no way I can afford 75$ set of clubs, I think the best I can buy are the Circus clubs on juggling store for 60$.

I’ll add my 0.02
If you just want to experiment with club juggling or you need a good inexpensive club then: The Dube airflite clubs at 15.00 are a good buy. They will last along time. If you are sure you want to learn club juggling and have the money then: The Dube composite at 35.00 would be a safe choise. As noted above there is no rush to buy, since club juggling takes much more time and effort to learn than ball juggling. So, don’t expect to be putting a club juggling rt in your show in 2 to 3 weeks after you get them. |

Last time I was there there were 2 owneres of the shop. One was a juggler one was not. No idea about the staff.
"red decorated clubs, are they nice? " Which red ones? The Todd Smith Satellite I've never used them but they have a very good rep. The beack 3-club set......They look like the Beard clubs, which has a good rep also. I've only used the Dube' Dube airflite and the Dube Fat Boys. Chris |

On the site it just says set of three red decorated clubs, no company name, 45.00. How are the dube airflights I don't want to buy them because they look cheap but ive never used them so I have no idea about the quality. Are the airflights good? or should I buy the other 45.00 set?
-thank you

Dube makes the highest quality juggling clubs made. Airflights are his least expensive priced clubs, but an unknown manufacturer will supply you with unknown quality. So inexpensive Dube clubs will be a reliable selection.

I believe that the dubé clubs are to heavy and are way to slow. Especially the torches are slow, but also the ordinary clubs. But the quality of dubé, well, it is great stuff and will last you a long time.

I'd go for Henry's! Love their clubs.
Whatever you go for, if you want something more with juggling clubs then "just trijng it out" I strongly advise not go for the cheapest ones. You will need or want different ones soon enough. If you really want to just try and not spent much money, make some club-like props yourself by putting sticks in 1,5 littre bottles. Or try it out with those sink-plump things they rotate like clubs! |

Beards are a fine quality juggling prop from England, and tomorrow morning when the English jugglers wake up they will tell you better than me.

My personal fav's have to be Todd Smith's. I agree with Al though, go for one of the bigger names.
Henry's Dube Renegade Beard Radical Fish Todd Smith Delphin is a model put out by Henry's. They're a decent beginners club. |

Beard are reasonable clubs as long as you stay away from their 'Beach' clubs which are horrible. Also their radical fish range are love or loath depending on your likes and needs in a club. If you want heavy clubs then Renegade are good if you prefer them lighter then my personal preference is for Henry Pirouette. Best thing to do is to get along to your local club and try out as many different types as you can. Or alternatively go with the most popular club at your workshop as when you get into passing it is better to pass the same things.
