One of the true 'gems' in the Doc Eason series is a trick on the last tape called 'Tearable'.
I began dabbling with it to friends and co-workers because I wasn't sure how to work it into a restaurant set....Until recently.
The answer is simple. After performing an opener, I take a deck of cards out (pre-loaded) with the set-up on top of the deck.
Now- use Doc's 'motivation'- show the first card- single- drop it on the table- then double lift the 'signed' card and say 'don't mind the signature- I have a lot of cards signed by people (act like it's no big deal- which it isn't!).
Now, put the deck in your outside jacket pocket (this makes sense because you're only using the two cards in play).
Perform the effect - drop the torn pieces in your other pocket and take the deck back from your pocket less the 'gimmicked' card.
This isn't rocket science, but I found that 'Tearable' makes a wonderful No. 2 trick in a restaurant set and fills the easy reset criteria that table-hopping requires.
Plus, the magic happens in their 'hands' -so to speak- and it's simple to follow....what more can you ask for?
