I bought an effect many years ago, and lost the instructions. I thought I lost the packet, so I was not concerned. Now I have found the packet, but still not the directions. I bought it from Dante King in California. I contacted him, and he does not have anymore. Then I contacted his supplier, and he was kinda a jerk, and just said I don't sell that anymore, but I got a better one now. I don't want a better one, I want that one. Anyway, it was called Paradigm Shift, but not sure it is the one discussed on here. It ends up with the 6 or so cards with different backs (not color, but 1 is a bike, 1 is a tally ho, the designs are different.) Anyone with some input would be great.

Gerry Griffin who owns California Magic & Novelty was the person who made and distributed that trick, but he is a real super guy so he was probably not who you talked to.He can be found at the above magic shop in Martinez California. He has a website http://www.calmagic.com/ contact him as I am sure he can help you..

The effect is the important thing, how you achieve it is not.......

Are you sure it's not "Queens out of Control"? Sounds somewhat similar; both are by Gerry Griffin. You could just call him. (925) 374-0056. I doubt he'll have objections about helping you.
Make sure you call between 11am and 5pm Monday through Friday. They stopped serving lunch so that's when he would have time.
Think inside the box. . . it's less crowded.

That (QOOC) might be the "better one" the supplier told him about when he called for help.

Yes dbaker_creator, it was originally called "Paradigm Shift" and was sold by Gerry through Dante King's site/store.
I have no idea where the original cards might be available, but it shouldn't be very difficult given the current supply of odd-backed cards to make yourself up a set. The two Tally-Ho back designs, a black deck, etc should make up a fine set. |

I don't think the cards are the Bear's problem, but rather lost instructions to the effect.

In another forum, Paul H said Paradigm Shift evolved into Queens Out of Control.
The instructions are probably the same, sounds like you're just substituting different color backs for different brands of cards. Look on Penguinmagic.com and find Queens Out of Control (I know they have a demo video). If the effects seem to be the same (more or less) then all you need are QOOC instructions; let me know if it's the same.
