At the TAOM in Dallas this year, I came across a couple of books that I really feel the need to recommend.
Benson by Starlight by Levent is a fantastic volume of information. I have been aware of Roy Benson for a long time. I was not aware of how much material he had contributed to the art of magic. I knew about the bowl routine, and I knew about the salt pour, but I did not know exactly how much other material so many of us routinely use. He was a great thinker. His principles of sleight of hand on stage are worth the price of the book. His thinking on the Chinese Sticks is pivotal.
The Art of Astonishment by Paul Harris. You need these. Trust me on this.
