Hi all,

Well I spent way to much money at Kidabra, but put all the ideas and new routines in one of my cub scout shows I had about 2 weeks ago. You can check out my video of it at http://www.myspace.com/jasonjacobsmagic in the video section. You'll notice a lot of the ideas that I used.

It was my first time using the fantasy magician, bigger wands, Jozo Bozo's hat, nutty neckerchef, a lot of lines and gags, running gags such as the mosquito whistle and water, and much more.

Kidabra was a great experience for me and I think it brought my show to another level. Ken Scott had a huge impact on me. I now use a lot more music in my shows.

I really worked hard on my fantasy magician routine. It was hard to practice and put all the music together. You'll notice I forgot to load my balloons and pump and had to call over my assitant to save me. I also forgot to put the hat on the kid. I changed some of the music at the end as well after watching it. I learned a lot just from the experience.

Any suggestions welcome.

I watched jason's video clip and it was great to see. I always like to see different versions of the Fantasy magician. For little time you have had the tux Jason you have known a great job so far and it is only going to get better. The Fantasy magician is a routine that is very hard to practice. The only way you get better with the routine is actaully doing it in your show.

SO great job!

It was cool to see the videos. I was hoping it would show complete routines more than a montage but the kids seemed to be really loving the show!

It wasn't there for me.... I had the sound but no picture.... In the beginning there was a picture until I hit the play button then it went to a white screen

I really enjoyed what I saw. It was interesting to see the reaction to the silverware bending. I may have to find a way to incorporate that into my birthday shows. One question, in one of the videos the children in the audiance have some of the bigger wands, have you ever had any problems with that?

Ryan,

I usually perform the silverware bending for high school students and adults, but the kids just love it, so do the parents. I find that sponge balls and fork bending is a great ice breaker before the show. It's a great way to build rapport before the show starts. You'll notice that I have them circle me, so they feel a part of the action.

My last cub scout show was the first time I've performed with the bigger wands. I noticed the kids liked to hold them b/c it makes them feel part of the show, but I sure don't want them hitting them against the ground like some of the kids did. I've been thinking the bigger wands would be a great way to involve everyone at a birthday party as long as it's controled. I imagine all the kids holding the wands up, and the bday kid with the biggest, making the magic happen. I haven't found a way to put them in my bday party show, but probably will soon.

That was a great clip, for some reason, ALOT of Magicians have a problem with the "Fantasy Magician" over here, (The contact element etc) but, I think it is a great routine, and have loved it, ever since buying the Ken Scott DVD, I use to give a damm about what other Magicians said, now, I just do my own thing, and guess what, it works for me, and the kids love it...well done with the show.

I thought it was great.

I use the balloon bag in every show I do. I love it.

Your routine with the child in the suit is great. It seems that you really get conntected. And you got a standing ovation, so they all liked you.

Jason, enjoyed every minute of the video and especially when you did the Fantasy magician. I spewed soda everywhere and now have to clean the keyboard. I KNOW the cubscouts and parents were entertained royally by your performance. Great job!

Jason ,
Great lively show...loved all your routines , think you might need a rest after that show . You could tell by the audience reaction , they loved it also...keep up the good work.
