Funny story I hope Marc Paul does not mind me telling.
Not sure if anyone caught Marc Paul on a recent 'Weakest Link' psychic special. I was actually a sub for the show - in case any of the rest of the group didn't make it. I didn't get on but had a complete laugh in a room where as as the Hypnotist I had the most normal job. It was full of quite a crazy bunch, pet psychics, astral channellers, and ghost hunters. Marc as Mind Reader made up the number. In the green room before filming Marc was the last to arrive and came in with charm and presence politely introducing himself to everyone. One of the psychics asked if he was a skeptic with regard to psychic stuff and he gave a polite response that there are things he doesn't understand but that he preferred to reserve judgement about whether psychic stuff was real. They rounded on him and when he went to get his make up done openly plotted to boot him out. This they did in the second round even though he was far from the weakest link. Anne Robinson gave him a bit of a grilling too - calling him a magician with some venom in her voice. Hilarious stuff. Great to meet you Marc. Anthony

Derren Brown's approach on Devil's Picturebook is the best, although not examinable in any way.

I like the Method Derren uses though, and also like the thinking behind "affected by Berglas" - Which has been performed by Marc on Tv, like stated above. I think you would be very lucky indeed to by the method used on Parkison for £12. mescalito
The basic tool for the manipulation of reality is the manipulation of words. If you can control the meaning of words, you can control the people who must use the words.

Derren brown's method should be considered a stop trick or at best a Card at any Number rathre than ANY card at any number. Still, a cheeky effect and fun to watch (and no doubt present). I'm always confused by these threads. Why not just use the most traditional and labour intensive method that we all know and that all these other methods try to avoid. Why not just put in the work, it's not as hard as you might think, and a carefully thought out presentation can provide all the shade one might need in order to cover any of the moves that make people nervous.

There's a method in one of the Phantini books that's quite good. And Jerry Sadowitz has a solution as well.

Teejay,
It's "extreme Mental Effort" from his video "Devil's Picturebook". Very bold, very good ! But it's not an ACAAN.

After buying affected myself, I am a bit dissapointed because ive paid £12 for a deck of cards that are really only an example of what I should use.unless I want to put some memory work into this deck.without giving away the exact method I cant say much more but would have prefered to pa £5 for just the manuscript instead of left over cards from other decks.unless I'm missing something.

If you get to the chance to see John Born he has an extremely direct clean and baffling version of this effect.
It's part of his current lecture. I don't know if it's in the notes that accompany the lecture (I think it is) but if you contact him I'm sure he'll be able to tell you for sure. Neal

I just got the strangest psychic vision. I see a young man who's trying to get into a basement. He thinks there's a party happening down there, but the door is locked. He knows how to unlock it, but it will take more work than he wants to put forth. So instead he thinks he can magically unlock it by uttering a bunch of short, meaningless responses to conversations that have been over for months or even years. He's going to be disappointed when his spell doesn't work. I know it's weird, but does that make any sense to you, Develin?
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

Clarification: My post above was a response to another post, in which a new user resurrected this long-dormant thread to type a one-word reply, in an obvious attempt to increase his post count. However, that post has now been removed, which makes it look like I dredged up this old thread to spout unrelated nonsense about my psychic visions. So I just wanted to set that straight, and make it clear that I have not, in fact, gone completely off the deep end. Yet.

As I have said before anyone that wants the
Holly Grail the simple solution is Get the Berglas Book The problem today no one wants to read a book and just wants a quick fix I know the berglas book costs a lot but you are getting 400 Page book for about the same price of 3 DVDs , I am still not sure why never a week goes by with yet another version of ACAAN when the ultimate version is now available |
