I have recently been performing in my local Skate Park just for practice. The guys give really good reactions so I normally video it. I have become a little bit well know in my Skate Park as a magician. For those of you trying to make a video with some really good reactions I would suggest trying your local Skate Park. It has become one of my favorite places to perform. I actually got to perform to a Pro Skater, although I can't remember his name. Does any one else perform in Skate Parks?
A Little Tip: If you are going to video make sure you have a Mic on you or have someone doing a boom pole keeping the Mic very close to you. The reason for this being is that there is a lot of noise from the Skaters in the background. |

Where ever you can get experience performing, go for it. The creative magician is the one who succeeds.

Do you skate? Skate while performing? That would be cool...
Once while I was bicycle riding at the famous RAGBRAI, people recognized me and asked me to perform a trick while riding! This happened three times during the week! There were 12,000 people on bikes, so I was amazed each time when people would remember me from performing in an official show the night before??? Sometimes you just have to go with the flow. Magic happens! |

Actually I don't skate, I spend all my time practicing magic. But it is funny I tend to go to the skate park on Thursday nights so some guys when I got there a last night yelded out, "Every body it's Thursday night, magic night." and then of course I was doing magic for the next hour even though I never asked anyone if they wanted to see a trick. I was actually planning on not doing magic that night, but I guess magic just kind of follows you. Someone always is asking to see a trick

When you start performing for people at a specific time all the time, it basically sticks in people's heads that magic will happen on this day, at this time, and they look forward to it Keep it up, it's excellent that you're doing this kind of thing. |

This sounds so cool, I love to skate and would love to run into someone doing tricks. It's definitely a different kind of crowd, my kind of people that is.

Have you posted any of your skate park videos online? I think I speak for everyone when I say I'd greatly enjoy seeing it.

The best part of magic is having fun. It sounds like you have a home there how could you even think of not doing magic for them and taking the day off A great piece of advice on pratice is enjoy it. When you believe and have fun with it they will as well. Let's see the video. If you put it up "you tube etc." they will come. John |
