Is anyone going to the PCAM this year? With over 40 years in magic, I've never been to a convention before. This one will be my first. I'm really looking forward to the various lectures and getting a chance to chat with other fellow magicians. Hopefully, it will also give me a chance to meet a few Café members!

I know that Ryan and Donovan will do a great job.
I was thinking of going, but then got a booking for the Saturday in that weekend. I may fly in on the Sunday, miss the convention, but attend Dean Hankey's special training workshop on the Monday.

If you haven't been to one, you're in for a treat. It's a lot of fun. I've been to a few, and I've always come away with a few things ponder, and a new bunch of friends to chat with.
Met up with Martin Nash a few years back in Vancouver and MAN!!! that guy is amazing to watch!
Conventions are great, and Calgary is a very nice city to visit. (if I do say so myself!)
See you there!

It was certainly an amazing convention!
Here are the pro-challenge results:
3rd place - Paige Thompson (Performed illusions, a couple quick-changes and a linking ring routine)
2nd place - Gary Savard (Performed a billiard ball manipulation routine complete with a quick-change)
1st place - Shu-Yan Yu (Performed a mask and quick-change act called "The Monkey King in 71 Faces")
As you can probably see quick-changes are in style - four out of the five acts involved at least one.
See you all next year in Monterey!
