I have such fond childhood memories in the '80s of The House of Magic in Dayton, which closed in the mid-'90s. They also sold adult gag gifts, which were on display in the front portion of the shop, so my mom would always tell me to stare at the ground until I got to the magic showroom in the back.

I've been trying to find vintage photos from the '80s of that magic showroom or the exterior of the shop, but so far, I've come up empty-handed.

If I was a kid buying parlor tricks in there on a normal allowance, what was so expensive?
