Last night I was surfing YouTube and came across Paul Romhany's rope routine. If you haven't seen it yet, go to YouTube and search for Charlie Chaplin magic. He has several other routines besides ropes. They are all worth watching.

Opening sequence is from Tabary.
I can remember when I first saw Tabary's routine on TV. It was just .. magical! |

Saw this last month. It was well done. Billy Scanlon, however, is the only magician who does magic as Chaplin with the blessing of the Chaplin family estate.

I enjoyed both presentations very much. Classic magic done extremely well. We have George Sands to thank for so many staples of rope work.

I saw him live in Ottawa a couple of years back when he was part of Murray Hatfield's show. He did a wonderful bit where he pulls out a metal hanger from his coat and this links with another hanger. He can't get them apart so he pulls out a hacksaw, and of course this links on to the two hangers as well.
I loved his Charlie Chaplin personna. Very entertaining fellow.
