Has anyone ever built a Light and Heavy box using the electromagnetic method?
What pitfalls did you encounter? I'm curious as to how feasable this really is. Thanks |

My frend has this kind of similiar magnet: http://www.noga.com/prdPics/DG0039_pic.jpg
Could this be used in the light&heavy box? |

Barry Mitchell explains his electromagnetic version in his "Magic of thinking Creatively" DVD and his book. He also has a version that uses no magnets. (Which I use for my kid shows)

Check out the Light Heavy box at http://www.tomyurasitsproductions.com. If I were to get one, I would get his. There are several big names in magic that have his version. His box does not require any handling by the performer.

I went to Harbor freight tools and picked up a large suction cup, for pulling out dents, and mounted it inside a box I picked up from Michael's craft store. As long as the surface is smooth it can not be lifted. For an electronic version Barry Mitchell's book covers it pretty well.
