The closest was a tin-foil coin that was pressed to look like a real half. A matter of just closing your hand around it and crumbling it up and then either dropping the small ball on the floor, or just thumb-palming it. Justin N. Miller |

A few years ago someone had some fun with foil coins at a convention.
It's a nice idea and it goes back to Downs' book and probably well before that too.

Honestly, the closest thing I've seen that would be similar to what you are asking is called REVOLUTION. Unfortunetly you will need to be clothed to do the effect. You can find the effect on ellusionist.com |

Guys,
Revolution is completely different from what Platt is talking about. He is talking about a gimmicked coin that will easily diminish or disentigrate, whereas Revolution is a NON-gimmicked coin vanish utilizing a completely different concept. ||sean ||
