Anywone knows where I can get a version of finding the King instead of the queen?
I think that easily lends itself to the patter of finding the King of Kings.
Anyone made one up before?
Or has anyone an appropriate patter for a gospel application for finding the queen props?
Thanks

If you're talking about using three card monte, then I would just substitute the King for the Queen and patter about how life's a gamble unless you follow the King...

If you're talking about something else, then I apologize...Smile

There's also this one (Gospel version of 3-card monte):

The Original King of Hearts #2 Jumbo Siz......agic Co.

It also comes in other sizes.

Sorry I wasn't clear in my post.
I am thinking of the stage size version where 3 cards were displayed with the queen in the middle. This has a sliding gimmick where the red queen is between two black court cards.I think all 3 cards have the 3 sliding gimmick.
Anyone has made one before but with a red King (of Hearts) instead? Or where can I find one? or a suggested patter to go with it?

The only one I know of, is Dave Powell's King Monte. However, that is usually done with two kings and a queen.

If I understand the gimmick, it could be performed the other way around (two queens and a king). But as you said, it's a black king, not a red one.

P.S. Google the name, to see photos on other magic dealer websites.

Wow! Where did you get that? From me, or from David Ginn (he sold them a long time ago)?

I found a couple dozen copies of that book the other day, while I was visiting my parents.

P.S. Sorry, I don't have patter suggestions for the King Monte trick.

I was doing some research and going through my library looking for new inspirations and I came across yr book.

Hay Donald, How about offering the couple dozen copies you found of your book for sale to this group. I'd love to see it! Could we purchase them directly from you? Please PM me with instructions if that's possible. Thanks!

Hi Joe -

First, an apology to Frankie (maps) for hijacking his thread.

Yes, I'd be happy to offer my book ("The Bible, Christianity and Magic: Two Essays") to the people here on The Café.

If anyone is interested, just send me a PM for more information.

Well I brought it up as you requested. So when do I get the "finding the queen" prop as promised?
Ok folks,I am just kidding!!!!!Just pulling Donald's leg!11
Seriously,it's a good essay and should answer some questions people asked about "Gospel Magic". It helped me and I've been able to help others with it.

Why not just start with 2 queens and the King in the middle. All three cards have slides so just start with 2 queens and a King. Because the way the gimmick works you can start off anyway you like. You can start off with three queens or 3 kings if you wanted.
Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.
