Jeremy really knows how to perform. Those ropes you linked to are the ones Jeremy sent to me. If I was smart enought to post a pictures I'd show you. I'm kinda tired of white rope, the white eventually turns grey, and the colorful ropes sure brighten up my props bag.

Hi Dynamike,

I personally prefer to use colored ropes as the white ropes tends to get really dirty after a while especially at the "M******" joint. Even the most well made Japanese Set can get dirty at Singapore's humid weather.

In the DVD, I share my special technique which I use to insert the gimmicks. The Linking Ropes on my website uses 4 ropes and the one in the DVD is a 3 ropes routine, which you could use any standard Linking Ropes Set, and just by making one small addition to one of the ropes, you could perform the special move.

Do let me know if you have any questions Smile

I meant to say "We are all used to "white" rope."

Hi Mike,

Yeah I do still use white ropes for some of my routines. Just that my experience of using white ropes for rope gimmicks is not very convincing. Even for Pavel, his "white" rope is more towards cream color, for effects such as Super Walking Knot etc.

The Linking rope is white that I use are exceptionally well made, and have not faded or turned dirty at the juncture. But the positive side is, that they are made in such quantity that a new set is under $7 and it doesn't pay to make your own or risk a machine washing.
I sell them by the dozen for $60 for 12 sets and even less wholesale. I get dozens of uses before I even need another set. The rope set is expendable.

Ian, do you have a link showing your white ropes?

Jeremy, do you sell your colored rope in long lengths without any gimmicks, so it can be used for "cut and restored" and "Fiber Optics?"

Hi Mike,

Currently I do not sell my ropes individually as I only use them to make my rope sets. Moreover I would not use them to perform Cut and Restore as the ropes are too expensive to just use it for one time! As for Fiber Optics, it a P.Nightmare set, you can PM me and we can discuss further Smile

Hi Ian, thanks for the info on your linking ropes set. The only Linking ropes I have which I bought commercially are the japanese ones, those by Tenyo, Tricks Co. They are colored cotton ropes and the gimmick ropes are usually dark colored. Also for my routine I insert the gimmick portion at a particular part of the rope which I have yet seen in any Linking Ropes Set. It is a very minor adjustment but it make some of my moves very convenient.

I do a 5 minute single piece of rope routine which is my version of the Dennis Loomis knot routine plus. I have always used the 1/2" drapery cord that Dennis sent me. For some unexplainable reason I can not do the snap knot with white cotton rope, but this colorful stuff that I got from Jeremy Pei is perfect for doing 6 snap knots one on top of the other. I don't know why, but trial, and error has made me a believer in this multi colored 3/8" rope.
