I can't remember exactly the first time I met or saw Uncle Bob. But I consider him to be a close and dear friend after the numerous years we have know each other. (who cares? cause we don't know you! -- anyway...) I was living in Orlando Florida when Uncle Bob came down to do a show. He called me and said we wanted to go do something fun after his performace. I mentioned that we should go to Wet -N- Wild. (a tourist water park). My daughter was 7 at the time (she is now 23 -- again who cares! -- but wait her age gives you an idea of how long ago it was.) It was a hot, hot day, so the cold water park was a very welcoming pleasure. We purchased our ticket, found a place to put our stuff, removed our shirts and went to see what the park had to offer. We went on, some of, many rides that had long Disney like lines. Needless to say, we were exhausted after being in the sun for 3 hours and waiting in those lines to get 30 seconds of water spray.

We went back to our blankets to relax when my daughter grabbed Uncle Bob by the hand and asked him to come play with her. Bob did not even hesitate. He sprung to his feet and went with Niccole (my Daughter, yeah I know... who cares.) to the kids area. This area consisted of spring ponies, mounted water guns and padded pools for the smaller children.

I stayed on the blanket for an extra 10 minutes to rest before I went to relieve Uncle Bob from the baby sitting task. When I arrived, to rescue him from the duty, Uncle Bob was in the center of all the kids. He was screaming at the top of his lungs at all the kids in the area.... "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!????". He was behind one of the mounted water guns spraying all of the kids, who were in turn spraying him from other mounted guns, splashing water on him by kicking the water with their feet, throwing the round inner tubes (used for the lazy river) at him. The kids were out of control but loving every minute of it as they screamed with laughter. So much so, that one of the 20 something year old life guards came over and said... "Sir your going to have to leave this area, we can't have this kind of behaviour." Uncle Bob then dropped his head down like one of the 5 year kids being scolded by their mother. He then turned his head toward the kids and gave his oh so familiar big space-toothed laughs and yelled... "GET THE LIFE GUARD!!!!". The kids went nuts!!!! The life guard could not get out of there fast enough.

I was laughing so hard I almost ****ed my pants!

I agree! Bob is one funny Man and a GREAT entertainer! But he is also Genuine Friend and a great human being. LOVE YA - MEAN IT!

It is safe to say that Bob is in touch with his inner child ...this story sure backs that up. How many of those among us would do such a thing.

a rare bird, he is...

My three kids love their uncle Bob as well.

Haha I almost died reading that lol. Great story, thanks for sharing! However, you forgot to mention the part when all the drains int he pool were clogged due to the unfortunate, "over-production" of sponge bunnies
