I recently finished a custom leather tooled chop cup for a customer. I wish I had a clearer picture, but the one I have here is the best I have. I wanted to share with you guys.

The design is flaming dice with the customer's initials on the dice. The design is done on both sides of the cup. He does dice stacking so that is why he went for a straight sided cup and dice in the design. I also did a pair of custom made dice, like those seen in this picture:

This is my tooled cup and my dice that I use in a chop cup routine. Obviously, one of the die is gimmicked to work with the cup. My cups are 100% hand cut, tooled, stitched and dyed. The dice are completely handmade. I wanted them to look like old bone. I really enjoy making my own props.

Thanks for looking.

I like the look of those dice. What are they made out of?

Nice job Paulyp, wish I had that kind of talent. Smile
I'm curious about the dice as well, they do look like real bone.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks guys.

The dice are made from polymer clay. They are then stained using shoe polish for the right look.

Paulyp,
I really likethe look of those dice too. Does the ma***t retain it's strength when the clay is fired (or perhaps you used a different polymer clay than I have used before)? Good work Smile

Bri-
Yes, I have had no problem with the m****t keeping its strength. I will be honest, I don't know too much about the properties of m*****s. I use neo's and keep them close to the surface. Maybe you were using ceramics? I don' treally knwo if this makes a difference. Polymer clay is fairly weighty, so I use a decent size m****t as well. Also, I have used both Fimo and Sculpey.

I have pretty much finished a manuscript on making different types of chop cups and loads. I still need to do some basic editing. However, I didn't know if there would be any interest in the subject, but it sounds like there might be.
