I was listening to Bill's interview on the Magic Lantern today and heard a reference to Bob Read talking about his collection of C&B artwork, but didn't know if that's in the book or the DVDs...anyone know?

Rick,

Bob talks about the cups etc in the DVD's (well I assume so, I have the old VHS so I assume they have the same content)

It's in the DVD (Vol 2 I think) not the book.

Ammar used Paul Fox cups for most of that set of videos.

Bill:

My mistake;you're right. Speaking of Bob Read, are we ever going to see a book of his C&B print collection? There was a great deal of talk about this a while back but nothing ever panned out.

I have Ammar's video on cups and balls that have parts of Bob Read speaking on the history of C&B, but cannot find a complete video or DVD of Bob's original presentation. Anyone have a lead if it is available and where? Thanks.

I'd be interested in a complete video or DD of Bob's original presentation as well.

There was a presentation that he gave on his own set of DVD's. I do not believe there was ever a complete only presentation on his talk on the Ammar DVD. It was a great addition to the set though and worth watching. At least on the DVd you can pick the parts out to watch just them if you want. On VHS when they were released you had to watch the entire tape.

I was on eBay (sorry) and I ran across a comb bound book on C&B art work. I was buying it online when I saw that it was Bob Read's paper on C&B art. I'm not sure how it got out there but it came to me. I should get with Mr. Palmer on what it has and all but thought I would let you all know. I don't know if it was one copy of others or not.

I recently acquired the Ammar DVDs.

I think the reason that people (including me) think there was a larger video production is that Mr. Read refers to previous sections on various related topics in his first appearance in the DVD. I definitely would be interested in seeing the whole production.

The first half of the talk is on the second DVD and the second half was cut into the first DVD which I agree does add to the confusion.
