It's not as much a "convention for magicians" as it is a "showcase" for them. All the classes and workshops seem to be geared towards kids and laypeople. I imagine, however, that you could do something like this during the day, with the magicians getting together in the evenings to hob-nob among themselves and attend their own classes and lectures.
