It is a great routine and about a year ago I even performed it, but then I totally forget about it. I have the routine somewhere, but I have forget how to tie the knot, so it "pops off".
Is there any simple solution I can learn it again?

Maybe a surch for "Hunter bow knot" may help

On pages 27-28-29 of the "Real Panama Rope Mystery" in the Mini-Mysteries section of my site, the pop-knot tie is explained and shown in step by step photos because it was originated by Ted Collins before it began to be used by Ed Mischell, Whit Haydn and others, and is an important part of the Panama Rope Mystery as well.

Note: It is NOT the same as the "Hunter Bow Knot," which is a slip knot, not a pop knot. The Hunter Bow Knot merely dissolves into nothing, while the pop knot flies off the rope on which it is tied.

If you know the simple cut and restored rope trick and think for like 2 seconds you will know how to tie a pop knot. Good luck! I love the Mongolian Pop Knot and just recently have been using it in my shows for just about 3 weeks now!

Yea I have some ideas to tie it, because I already have done it a while ago and because I do scarf thou neck in my show, but I experiment and I just don't remember where I learned it nor how to tie it.

Basically, the short piece is "unlinked" from the longer rope as the knot is started, and then it is tied in a simple overhand knot around the fold of the longer rope.

In other words
back & forth the same way as you went in & out
and then in & out the same way as you went back and forth

Yes, it is a good idea to keep your instructions on hand and in a safe place. This helps when you forget a lot of your material.

It is always a good idea, that if you put a trick away, to put it in a plastic self-sealing bag and include the instructions sheets or CD or DVD. That way everything is together. You will get to refresh your memory and bring back those feeling when you first enjoyed opening that package that came in the mail.

Whit, I bought your routine, used it on cruise ships and corp event, adjesting the patter as needed...I have to say, you may have come up with one of the "perfect", workers rope routines.
