Friends,
Many mentalists use this force as a "warm up" for their audiences. For an "one to one situation" it isn`t good, because it doesn`t work each and every time.

Maybe some of our members have the "perfect solution" they want to share.

Ted,

I do respect your work, and your contributions to the craft, and am very thankful for them. However, I do disagree on this statement from you.

I don't use this with large groups, but rather for one on one situations. It works extremely well for me. I can safely say that I have numerous people who will site this as a major miracle they experienced. Not everything hits 100% of the time, but that's acceptable. Mind reading is difficult. Anyway, the participant is trying to read my mind, and they are new at this.

However, I also have something that covers another possibility with no additional work that I have used successfully. I do plan to publish it in the future, but not publicly on the Café, and certainly not in a place that is open to the entire Internet public to read. It may be in a pamphlet or book of mine in the future.

I don't see a problem, so I have no solution to propose other than each performer using whatever fits them best.

Allen,
Possibly you "go away" with the principle, but you never can be sure that it works each and every time. I do not like "planned misses" in my show and for this reason I don`t like the trick as it is now. I have a solution to make it perfect without failure, but I wanted to hear the comments from the members of the Café.

If I discuss tricktechnical things here in the Café I do it in the appropriate threads or with a PM.
