Can anyone give a review on this set of notes. How informative are they and what quality is the gimmick that comes with them and how big is the gimmick.

If I recall, the shiner is approx. half an inch square. It's only a few pages of instructions. There are some nice ideas (but not a lot)and I have seen Rudy use it. If you've never ever done anything with one of these then it's worth the investment, as it's priced reasonably.

Correction, it's nearer 3/4 of an inch square, found mine! Coincidentally I just happened to watch Rudy's mentalism DVD "13" yesterday and he shows and explains the basic card use of it on there.

I can't find any videos of the performance online. If you have any links that would be super. I'm keen as this sounds interesting but have never seen it.

There are certain things you can't find online. Because of exposure.
I have both the 13 DVD and the Steak booklet. Once you figure out how the basic technique works, there isn't a lot more to say about it. I like the tool, but don't carry it with me or use it. I find that a basic p**kworks fine and there is no tool to hide. That said, there are things you can't do as well without it as with. Really, I think it is worth having and learning about, but unlikely to transform your approach to cards. Patrick |
