Ok It is a nice effect but is it really worth the money? I would think there would be other creative cheaper ways (that do not rip off the current effects) to blow some confetti into the air? I have an electric balloon pump the will inflate a 260Q in about 2 seconds, I would think something along those line could be used. Maybe from inside a top hat or a snow man, I don't mean to take away anything from the "originals" but if there are "ripoffs" out there for 1/3 the price, what are we really paying for? I would not buy a rip off, and not suggesting anyone does, its just wrong to make cheap knock offs, but I also have no issues creating my own original and unique effect based on similar technology. I just cant see paying $1500 for a napkin holder that blows confetti. Then again I would not pay $4000 for a shadow box that I can buy elsewhere for $1500 and build myself for $400. why have we allowed the price of magic to get so out of hand? Surely it is not to keep the idly curious away, other wise we would keep our "secret Societies" SECRET and not invite any newcomer to join. which we all know is not the case. any thoughts?

I've seen a number of routines that use a coat that way. The modern versions have evolved from French mime-training, with roots in Commedia. It's old tradition.
