Sorry for the delay, but YES! it is working (but so am I, LOL).
Thanks a million for the graphics. Things are moving right along. It appears that we will have a Saturday show and even a Friday show.
I'm very encouraged at how the message is traveling in magic circles, rings, etc. Folks are making plans to come.
I have scouted out motel rooms within 5-8 miles of the ranch and there is plenty of space to choose from, for a high of $79.00/night at Holiday Express to $34.95 at Scottish Inns. The closest is actually at Exit 208 (behind Shoney's) and that is Guesthouse Inn at $49.99 for up to 4 people. The others are at Exit 205. Most are about $50/night. There are six motels there! (This is very different from hunting a place to stay near Abbott's and FAB in Colon. LOL)
Progress is really being made.

Wow! It's coming together! It looks like the Flea Market is Saturday. However, the magic begins late Friday and goes through Saturday night with shows!

Keeps changing. Lodging info has been added. Camper hookups are also available there.
This lodging is at the right exit (I-65 Exit 208) about 5 miles from the ranch.
At the next exit (I-65 Exit 205) there are loads of other motels and places to eat.

We do indeed already have some reservations and even rooms booked at the motel.
People are going to be very surprised at some of the individuals coming and taking part. Since it is FREE, we don't depend on big names for attraction but that won't keep them away either.
RSVP is going to be a very smart move. This event is limited to magicians and their guests but theater seating is limited too.

PS --- We will have the checker boards set up too for those brave enough to challenge you. (I've been told that there are some folks from Texas, Mississippi and North Carolina that claim they can play checkers too. "Shall we gather at the barrel" and see?)
Bull sessions among magicians are eagerly promoted. (In Alabama, whittling is a "social grace" and encouraged too.) There is even room for folks willing to bring a guitar, harmonica, fiddle or a song!
Are they going to get to see you Buck Dance like they did in the movies?

It is with great pleasure that I make booth reservations for Michael Baker. He adds a lot to the magic community. We'll be in good company. (I hope I get a shot at his stuff before y'all do! It will be great stuff.) Let's hope we can take advantage of his talent too.
Our exit (Exit 208) on I-65 is 4 miles south of the BIG PEACH and 3 miles north of Peach Park. We will have to send you a photo of the Big Peach. Most folks just aren't going to believe it until they see it. (It just might make your Georgia water melons look small.)

Thanks for putting on a magic convention with no ticket charge Bob. I hope a lot of magicians who are close enough to make it do so. I'd be interested in meeting Café regulars that I haven't had a chance to meet yet. This seems like a good chance for a bunch of us southeastern magicians to meet and hang out.

I don't see the question on here but you asked an important question. The listed motel is $54 and that is for up to 4 people. There are motels that are less than that just 3 miles south of there.
There are some magicians camping too.

Barney,
There are no fees! Food, lodging and transportation are your responsibility. There is no charge for admission, parking, booths, shows, entertainment, etc.
Think of it as the magicians' family reunion. Come take part and have fun. The arena and theater have limited space but there are ways around that too.

Jared, when it comes to normal conventions, I'd just rather not bring it with me unless I'm one of the acts...for several reasons...I never have time to play it, and it's a loud and expensive instrument....don't like to leave them lying in a hotel room. I'll bring it to Bob's gathering though
