Any good biblical presentations for the Fraidy Cat Rabbit effect?

If your set is like the one I've seen on line (I don't have it) it would seem that it would go along with the idea of the wordless book...(gold - Heaven, black - sin, red - the blood of Jesus, White - born again, Green - go and share).
I suppose you could talk about the frame being a church building...and he went one day and heard the message of the gospel (I'm being as brief here as I can) and he decided to receive Jesus in his heart...and he became white as snow. Something like that seems like it might work. Again I don't have the effect...so this may be way off. But reading the effect it seems like it could work. ><>

I have a fraidy Kat Kermit the frog that's just green and turns white. I talk about Kermit trying to get brave enough to witness, everytime he tries to, he gets scared, then one day he get's brave enough and the person he's been trying to share with comes to Christ. It's a cute little routine, you would have to see it, I really illustrate it and act it out...

Nice idea Terry. The Abbott's set, for example, the rabbit does turn from black to white. I have done Fraidy Cat Rabbit a number of times over the years, but never could think of a Gospel illustration for it. I like it!

Side note, the story I tell with it is very animated...I talk about the person Kermit is to share Jesus with is a great big mean looking person (that looks like...and I say someone in the audience) and using a mean voice that person asks, "where's Kermit" and I do the changing to white...I do this two times then on the third time, Kermit does share Christ and finds out that is what the big ol mean looking man was wanting to talk to him about all along. The story goes great and teaches that sometimes the people we're afraid to talk to, are the ones who are looking for something more in their life.

I have used it for 40 years with the usual presentation, and then at the end talk about being fooled and use Proverbs 14:12: "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." The content of my short message following the effect depends on the age of the group I am speaking to.

I don't know if this ever was/currently is a commercial Gospel magic trick sold or not. I do know that MagicBob's set of "Hippity Hop Rabbits" have a gold Bible (instead of gold rabbit) and a silver Bible. The Bibles switch back and forth from gold to silver. When the "turn it around" portion of the trick comes, the Bible has turned to red- e.g. - we all need to have a "read" Bible. A similar version could be redone with the Fraidy Cat Rabbit. MagicBob posted his "Hippity Hop Bibles" at his web site: http://www.magicbob.org, then click on "videos". MagicBob filmed this in his basement in front of his own grandkids. Nice idea!

Rick Fisher of FAB Magic in Colon private messaged me that their "Fraidy Cat Outdone" comes with a Gospel routine. He said he'd fax it over to my office- I'll will post it here with Rick's permission as soon as I receive it. Rick is busy moving into his new headquarters in downtown Colon- should be all ready to go by Magic Week in August. Hope to see you all there as well as at the upcoming FCM convention. Can't wait!

Just stumbled across Jim Dracup's 1985 routine for "Fraidy-Cat Rabbit". It is on page 115 of "Magic with an Upward Look" available from Abbott's Magic in Colon. wwwabbottmagic.com Abbott's carries all three of Dracup's three large "Upward" series spiral bound volumes- pretty good value for the price. Many suggested (but very simple) routines included for "stock" tricks carried by Abbott's such as Run Rabbit Run, Silk Serenade, Block Go, Key-R-Rect, Goofus Plant, Professors Nightmare, Spikes through Balloon, and many more.
