I'm trying to find a mini compressed air tank that could hold enough air for 50-70 260's. Must easily recharge overnight at home with a common tire inflator or the equivalent. I'm hoping that for <70 balloons it wouldn't need to be very big at all, like something that could fit inside a shoe box.
If I can't find one, then I'd consider making one. In which case I'd need to know how big to make it, and where to find all the fittings, etc. (Thomas Wayne, are you reading this?...) FWIW, I'd like to be able to fix it to the underside of my new street table with the nozzle facing back so I can quickly add balloons into my routine, etc. |

You can get everything you need at one of the big HD or Lowe's stores. We are using CO2 for the PyroShot but one of those tanks would work for compressed air. You could easily fill it at a service station tire inflator too in just a few minutes.
Great idea with your table fitting BTW.

Compressed air is not the same thing as CO2..
Most balloon decoration companies use nitrogen.. it's fast.. it leaks slower.. and it's cheap. You can find tanks.. and may even be able to find a super small one at any welding or gas supply. I don' think you're going to get a compressed air tank to fill 50 balloons... it simply doesn't compress enough.. especially from a home air compressor.. Best of luck though.. Ps.. I know it's hard.. and I couldn't do it now... but when I was doing magic for fairs and art shows... I used to blow up 300-400 baloons.. with my own lungs every day.. for a week at a time! |

A balloon pump might work for you. They’re not quite as fast as compressed gas, but much faster than your lungs and easier on your jaw muscles.

That's why the tanks are readily available at off-road vehicle shops. An added advantage of using CO2 is reclaiming stale beer. |

Not sure if this is what you want or even if it will hold enough air for 70 balloons, but you can check out these tanks.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
If I were going ahead with this project, I think I'd use paintballer air tanks. They're small and light, and they come with all sorts of cool accessories. The whole paintball scene has really taken off, and these guys demand tough, cool-looking gear with all the trimmings. Having said that, before I would spend $600-800 on a custom version of my project that I could only use with my street table... before I did that I'd spend $600 on a Majiloon balloon pump and have something I could use under dozens of varying conditions. |

In the June 2009 Linking ring parade, I showed the "dust-off" tanks. They will do quite a few twisties. They will also do about 10 or so #11 clears. That solution has been in my lecture for years. Note: you must separate the nozzle from the tank with plastic tubing or the cold air will bust thru the balloon.

Is most cheap to recharge the tank in at a petrol station.
the co2 causes the balloons emptied soon. |

Any suggestions on a good regulator/squeezable trigger to control the amount of air going into these balloons?
Looking to make something similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71EIIHDqnB8 Much thanks!!! |
