There are 26 different symbols on each side of the card making 52 different symbols in total, the spectator thinks of any symbol on one side and you think of a symbol on the other side, so the spectator's perception is, they could have thought of any symbol. Hope that helps. Gary Jones.

Gary, I perform your Duality - with a DoubleDecker... You know what that means for Thought Wave Still I ordered it as I like your idea a lot which deserves support. Jan

I did think about doing this with Card-Shark and using the DoubleDecker, but decided to go with Alakazam for two reasons....First and foremost, it was Trilogy which sparked me to come up with a one deck version (Duality) mainly for table hopping, it had to be quick, to the point and have a instant reset. Secondly, Christian sent me a DoubleDecker so Mark Bendell and I made up a Thought Wave to test, but for some reason it didn't feel quite the same, yes it cleans up one minor detail, but the way we've routined Thought Wave we really believe the "extra" cards are not necessary. Like yourself Jan, we wanted to support the originators, as my effect Duality, and mine and Mark Bendell's Thought Wave have been inspired by Brian Caswells awesome effect Trilogy, it was the best thing to do and let Peter Nardi have exclusive rights. I have come up with some great ideas with the DoubleDeckers and have contacted Christian about some of them, one of them is a real super clean card at any number, but while it uses the DoubleDecker (it's not rocket science to come up with a method with this deck) I've added something which will even confuse magicians who know about these decks!! Thank you Jan for your support, and thank you to everyone who have purchased Thought Wave. Regards, Gary Jones.

Well done Gary and Mark!
Genius...a stunningly practical psychological routine, using a method that I haven't really bought into until now. I agree with sas, uncomplicated and very direct indeed. Paul Mc.

Yes the effect is as direct as can be, you can make Thought Wave into a much longer routine if you wish (psychological/suggestion), you can play it the way Peter Nardi does it on the demo, or do the simple routine I put down on the DVD, so many choices for a 100% self-working miracle ! Got this yesterday- I really like it. So easy to do, but yet has two great reveals. This is nice- something you can make happen 100% of the time so you can concentrate on your presentation.

IMHO best is not talk about it at all. Put it in a standard Bic box and go. Jan

I just received this and I am extremely impressed with this effect. I think it takes the "Triology/Duality" type effects to a new, unique, and refined presentation. Its use of symbols instead of numbers is ingenious as it turns this effect into a true mentalism masterpiece. I have Triology and while it is a terrific effect in its own right, Thought Wave is, I think, a more streamlined (no pun intended), cleaner, logical and direct presentation. There is only one deck. There are no high/lows to consider. The use of the double sided symbol card is ingenious thanks to Mr. Peter Nardi's subtlety.
Thought Wave is a magnificent routine. I recommend it without the slightest hesitation. Michael

Got it today. Love it! It is so direct and clean and hit the audience so hard.
There is only one problem with the routine, although it might happen rarely. What if the audience names "the card"? |

I wish I have the answer
(still try to figuring it out) BTW just throughing my 2 cents of thought about the card back design. I found that Tally ho deck back design (both version) is very similar to the deck that you recieved. So there is another deck box option for you. |
