I don't know if this is the correct place for this topic- so please redirect to another subject forum if have to- thanks. Anyway- I was wandering if anybody has ever bought any magic items from this site? This guy makes custom stuff and is pretty expensive. Just wandering the quality and effectiveness of his items. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you are into performing and collecting well-designed, well-crafted, classic magic, Francois Danis is becoming a force to be reckoned with. Andy Martin of MartinsMagic.com fame turned me on to him, and I haven't looked back. Now, a few years later, several hundred dollars poorer, I am proud to be the owner of over a dozen Danis effects.
His pieces are unique in appearance, and like Alan Warner's effects, need to be seen and felt to be appreciated. Danis started off a bit rough around the edges, but his recent work is polished and finessed. Simply a joy to perform and display. His decal work and choices of woods and details, lend themselves to story-telling and whimsical patter. I can't wait to see what's next from Francois.
Check out MartinsMagic.com and TheBestMagic.com for more information on this modern master. You're right, his work is expensive. But in this case, we call it an "investment."

I concur with Wizard of Oz. Danis makes several very nice tricks and they're beautifully made. Arguably more intricate in painting detail than Warner's current offerings, actually, though Some of Warner's stuff is really exceptional in workmanship and coolness (I'm thinking now of my Jack the Lad).

Danis's latest offerings have really showcased how good he's become. His eye for detail is second to none. I don't know what he has planned for the future, but I can't wait to see it.

He put out 2 sets. I don't have a link for his first set, but his second is on his collection site:

In my opinion, his first attempt was a little rough around the edges, but his second attempt is quite beautiful, and works like a charm. I don't think it is quite up to Alan Warner's version, but I would say it equals Inzani & Henley's.

I have a few of his items. What is great about him is that he will work with you and make a special box set for only the items you want. Very cool. I agree that he is getting close to Warner in his quality. I recommend him highly and think his stuff is well worth the $$.
