I think the argument is that with a lot of those bluetooth pads that send what you sketch and write to your phone, some of them use marker or pens...there probably is one that uses a pencil too, but I think kiki is just saying most people dismiss a pencil...
its not really a logical disconnect though...its just what makes things comfortable for kiki...so that's fair enough isn't it...

Ah, I get it now; a pen or sharpie is easier to hide something in. I couldn't figure out why one might be different to the other but that makes sense.
The logical disconnect thing threw me. I can see that with something like do***e wr****g using a pen, a pencil can be a logical disconnect but not with an imp pad |

Of course, if you are presenting it like mentalism, the non-magician person you are performing for will likely not really care... for the truly suspicious, they won't care if you use a pencil as they will still come up with an e-explanation.
Are you performing for magicians or the public often helps choose the tools IMHO

Hi Guys,
I had to purchase an empty pad second hand as the other one was stolen (long story). Anyway, I have the paper refils and set it up but it doesn't handle the same as the last one. Can anyone PM images of the set up please? I can't work out which section the paper goes in, I keep getting backwards writing from the imp. Thanks, Paul.

Great advice there Sean. I recently moved house and can't find them. Someone has pm'd me on how to do the set up, so I'm all sorted.
But thanks for your input. Paul.

Hello guys I have received this but can not get the gimmick to stay hidden. It just won't stick to the other surface unless I apply a lot of moisture which effects the impression a little. Not sure what's going on here.

Why don't you just contact ParaLabs directly?

I have but had no response yet in the online pdf it suggests applying moisture for better grip.Mine don't grip at all.I wasnt expecting it to be stuck fast like scott creasys pad but this would be seen easy if spec went to close pad.

The spectator shouldn't close the pad. Have them tear off their sheet, hold it close to their chest, and hand you the pad as is. Then, you close the pad. Hope that helps.

That's all well and good but it states that the two surfaces stick together and they definitely do not.I used scott creasys f1 pad that is the same mechanics but dif technology. Scotts pad the two surfaces held together this does not.I'll contact meers.it was scott himself who said look into parapad when I wanted to change his pads tech for the high def gimmick in parapad.

Surfaces sticking together? I don't remember that been claimed anywhere and I don't know why it would.
But if you're concerned, you can use a paper clip to hold the the two panels together.

Sniper Pad I think it was..suggested using a dab of g-stick on one spot.
And at that, only if/when eventually needed. 252paraphrase

Last laugh it does...and says it was designed to do that in the online pdf.Was the only reason I bought it.As I already had a pad gimmicked with this stuff. So what we're saying is the para pad doesn't have any gimmick masking mechanism. Which it says in the pdf it has??
