I just got this from a member of the Café. I tried it as on the video and blew away my neophyte partner. Overall this deck is much easier to use than the classical brainwave deck with no memorization or markings necessary and the cards are much easier to separate.

Very impressive, I agree.
I'm looking for a backup deck if anyone has one for sale. Thanks. Nat Quote:

It seems to be no longer listed.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

It's not a big deal - you can easily make your own using a Phoenix DD + Krylon 1311.
That is what I have done as well - no problem. Buy the DD set that includes two sets of full decks - no one ways.

This has been on my wishlist for some time...
Vanishing Magic says they have them in stock: https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/......ainwave/ They also have the Parlour Size (slightly larger cards with bigger markings for better visibility) https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/......avedeck/

I have one...then I got a red/blue Phoenix DD for $22.50 (for some different effects to make up) from Penguin and realized the $22.50 + spray would be less than half than the marketed UBWD.
That may be the reason it doesn't seem to be produced, anymore!

Kind of an old thread, but I just bought and received the ready-made one. Yeah, it's a bit expensive, but I would say it's the best R&S deck I've ever used, bar-none, though I suppose comparing phoenix to regular USPCC poker brainwave deck is comparing apples to oranges a bit. It handles like a dream, and I could not be happier! It spreads awesomely, without any fear of accidental separation. Which I cannot say about other R&S decks I've used in the past.
I just really love it! And though I realize some may think the markings are too obvious, I've always been a huge fan of the phoenix markings, because someone with terrible eyesight like me can still see them VERY easily, with just a momentary glance. I do, however, need to stay away from Cardsharks website, it's very dangerous for my wallet. So many things I want on there, maybe will need to make a wish list for Santa, LOL |

As dooblehorn said- it’s an old thread but I’m wondering if there is there any way you could do an effect like this but have that “double kicker” a regular brainwave deck has? Example: spectator(s) think of 3 cards. You then spread or go through the FACE DOWN deck and the 3 cards named are face up. (1st kicker). Then the 3 cards are turned over and they are blue, while the rest of the deck is red. (2nd kicker). You can do this with a regular brainwave deck- but could you do this with the card shark deck and be able to show the other (what looks like) “49” cards to be red?

I wonder if you could use a “Phil” blank deck and make up a routine where not only are the 3 selected or named cards a different color from the rest of the deck, but also the only printed cards in the deck- and all the other cards (not 26 cards like a regular BW/ID- but almost ALL of the cards) are shown to be blank?

There’s no such thing as a blank Phil deck. And all are red backed.

Zombie thread...
Assuming a Phoenix Double Decker Red/Blue assembled into a Brainwave deck, and a Phoenix Ultimate Brainwave deck, is there a difference between the two? If not, are the only differences the Ultimate Brainwave Deck routine, and the pre-assembly of the Ultimate Brainwave Deck? |
