Hey Guys,
I am looking to get some dry transfers of playing card pips. Does anyone have a good source for this? J |

Is this the gaffed card section all of the sudden?
What's wrong with the Fako sheets from Hank Lee? |

They leave a sheen on the pip that easily telegraphs that it is not the original pip - that is assuming it even stays on the card, which is highly unlikely with the wet application type. They tend to fall off very easily when dry. I haven't seen the dry transfer sheets with every suit and number in years.

I wonder if Letra offers custom dry rub transfers.

I know there are some individual tricks that come with dry transfer pips and numbers, but just for one card, i.e a bunch of 3C. The names escape me now, but I think one is a Jay Sankey effect that comes with a DVD.

I disagree with the term "highly unlikely" and I don't think even the dry transfer ones stand up to much close scrutiny either. Maybe there is a reason you haven't seen them in years? |

I still have and use the cards I made up from the Dry Transfer sheet. I made them about 10 years ago. Once on, they are indistinguishable from the factory printing. As long as you don't rub your fingernail over them or put masking tape on them, they stay on perfectly.

The Sankey trick is Reconstruction. All four suit pips only. They are perfect dry transfers. John

The type used to make certain M****d D***s? Reconstruction uses adhesive backed stickers. Very good stickers - apparently he went to great lengths to get the exact shade of red to match Bicycle cards... but stickers nonetheless, not dry transfers. [Shameless plug] If stickers will do, I've got a great deal on Reconstruction in the For Sale section right now. [/Shameless plug] |

Inigmntoya is correct. I stand corrected. The Sankey Reconstruction Effect is indeed stickers, I just checked mine.
But there was another effect that used the rub ons. I forget the effect name so I can't look it up in my file cabinets, but if I remember correctly it was all clubs (and possibly some 3s) that were rub ons like the certain types of M***** D**** inigmntoya mentioned. I remember part of the effect was you put masking tape on the card to take off the pips for the ending. I still have my original rub-on Fako sheet that has some pips and numbers on it, but I am not willing to part with it.

Years ago, before computers, I use took work with a lot with Letraset lettering sheets. When these dry transfer sheets get too old, they loose there ability to go on properly. Especially the smaller lighter weight letters.

Still no luck on this?
Anyone have a cheap source for this type of thing? J |

Years after the original post, I'm still looking for the same. I had a bunch of "Chartpack" stickers that were great, years ago, but cannot find any more of them.
Any Ideas?

I was browsing magic website a week or so ago, and ran into these Transfer Sheets. They are still around, but I have forgotten which site it was on.
