Martin Lewis - Devilishly Clever
Saturday, February 5th, 2011 2:00pm Shawn O’Donnell’s 122 128th St. SE Everett, WA. NWRF Members: $25 General Admission: $30 Martin Lewis, a 5 times "Magic Castle - Academy of Magical Arts" award winner will be coming to Seattle as part of the 2011 X-elent Lecture Series on Saturday, February 5th. Martin comes from a long line of famous British magicians, his grandfather and well-known father Eric Lewis were both magicians. After 40 highly successful years working on cruise ships, doing banquets and trade shows, Martin leads the field in "pack small - play big" effects. Martin's lecture offers easy to do, mind blowing stage and close up effects with audience participation on the highest level. Come to the lecture and learn items like: UNDIVIDED: Martin's handling for the classic "Torn and Restored Cigarette Paper" that relies on subtlety rather than dexterity. Martin teaches you his handling that makes this effect clearly visible for two or two hundred! NANKIN TAMASUDARE This is his signature stage effect since 1986. Some might call it a Japanese "Troublewit," we call it repeat bookings - it is the most talked about effect from his show. STAMPEDE SECOND Deal cards out from under a postage stamp in this highly visual illusion. Paul Harris is considering this for David Blaine... SIDEWALK SHUFFLE Martin's classic jumbo monte effect, still used by magicians everywhere, after 30 plus years. Do not miss this once-in-a-decade opportunity to learn from one of the best in the magic business! |

Hi, I'm in Buffalo; I can't make it.
I was a hippie in San Francisco in the late sixties. Please tell Martin hi from an old-time San Francisco hippie. I saw him at Earthquake McGoon's. He was behind the bar. |

Today's lecture wrapped up about a half hour ago. I am in awe of this man. Two and a half VERY solid hours of magic (no intermission!). Martin walked us through about a dozen of his miracles, garnering a standing ovation from a packed room of enthusiasts.
Next stop... Eugene, Oregon, followed by a stop in Portland. Not to be missed!! |
